シンガー・ソングライターの山下達郎が歌うクリスマスシーズンの定番曲「クリスマス・イブ（30th ANNIVERSARY EDITION）」（2013年11月発売）が、12/28付オリコン週間シングルランキングで先週付の178位から39位へと急上昇した。
同曲は、ランキングの集計・発表年度で「2016年度」にあたる今週付でTOP100入りを果たし、1987年度から続いている「TOP100入り連続年数記録」が、前人未踏かつ節目となる”30年連続”の大台に到達。また、同じくクリスマスソングの定番曲で、同記録歴代2位のワム！『ラスト・クリスマス』（1989～98年）が記録した10年連続を20年上回るとともに、1983年12月発売から現時点での累積売上枚数を189.8万枚を記録している。
山下のアルバム『Melodies』（1983年6月発売）よりシングルカットされた同曲は、1983/12/26付（オリコン1984年度）で44位となり初ランクイン。その後、1988年にJR東海『X’MAS EXPRESS』CMソングに起用されたことが呼び水となり、発売から約6年後の1989/11/20付で初のTOP10入り。その後1991/1/14付でミリオンセールスを達成している。

１２月８日はクリスマスの始まりの日
イタリアのクリスマスは１２月８日に始まります。この日は「Immacolata」、「Maria Immacolata」（インマコラータの日）と呼ばれ、イタリアでは祝日となり、各地でお祭りが開催されます。
クリスマス菓子”パネットーネ”が店頭に並び、ナターレの飾り付けが始まり、この飾り付けは年明けの１月６日のエピファニア（公現祭）まで続きます。ヨーロッパ各地で見られるクリスマスマーケットはイタリアにもあります。
