2015/12/15

1955’s only major new holiday song hit was recorded by several different artists, but it was this version of the novelty that outperformed the others, reaching #6 on the best-sellers. Mooney, who was best known for such previous record successes as “I’m Looking Over A Four Leaf Clover” “Baby Face” and “Honey-Babe,” receives top label billing here, though the spotlight clearly rests on six year-old actor Barry Gordon.
