動画を公開したのは、ドイツの大手スーパーマーケットの『EDEKA』。なんとレジのバーコードリーダー音……「ピッピッ」と鳴るあの音で、「ジングルベル」を演奏したというのだ！

明日２４日はクリスマス・イブ。
もとより信者ではないので、キリストはんに義理立ててドアにリースを飾ったりはいたしません。
正月の松飾りは見るのは好きですが、やはりこれも飾ったことはない。すぐに捨てるようなものは無駄だなぁと感じてしまうんですよ。

　年の瀬が迫り、日本の年末の風物詩「クリスマス中止のお知らせ」の時期がやってきました。今までこれらのクリスマス中止系アプリはGoogle Playだけの特権で、Appleの審査は通らないことが多かったようです。
　しかし、今年は大丈夫。「クリスマス中止のお知らせ-サンタ狩り放置ゲーム-」が審査をくぐり抜けてリリースされています。これでiPhoneユーザーもクリスマス中止に貢献できますね。

定番のギャグ、鉄板ネタという感じですかね。

日本ではキリスト教は広まりませんでしたね。
バテレン追放だの禁教だの、そもそも必要なかったんじゃないかナ。

戦前・戦後と、日本の権力者たちは共産主義・社会主義を恐れ、なにかと弾圧しましたけど、６０年安保闘争のさなかにあってさえ、自民党は安定多数であって、運動のパフォーマンスの激しさが大きく報道されてあたかも「アンポ反対」が国民の総意のような幻想が流布されたにも関わらず、選挙結果では多数派とはなりませんでした。
おそらく時どきの権力者は、自分たちと互換性のあるファシズムとして共産主義・社会主義あるいはカルト宗教などを捉えていたのだろうと、私は想像しています。

おかしなもので、いつの時代のファシズムも民主的運動を装うものでして、捏造記事を書いた元記者を「解雇せよ」との抗議に対して「言論弾圧だ」「大学の自治に対する暴力だ」などと反駁するのと同じで、筋違いの大義名分を引っ張りだして自己正当化を図るもんなんですね。
社会的経験が浅く、人間観照の足らない若い人なんかは、そういう尤もらしい言葉にコロッと騙されちまう。そういうので人生を狂わす人も多いです。

Wally Stott And His Orchestra And Chorus – White Christmas（UK:1958/12, US:1959）

Warner Bros. PRO 120 and LP – Warner Bros. 1341） This special promotional single issue which includes the track,’White Christmas’ along with’Happy Holiday’ on the flipside, were two of twelve lush and lavishly orchestrated Christmas tunes with beautiful choral arrangements that were issued in the United States as an LP on Warner Bros. for the Christmas season of 1959. The album cover was a simple design that showed no photo of the conductor/arranger, simply a bright gold foil background with a’Dickens styled’ sketch in the center. Monophonic LP’s were entitled,’Happy Holiday – Christmas In High Fidelity’ while stereo versions were entitled,’Happy Holiday – Christmas in Stereo”. It wouldn’t be until 50 years later when the collection would finally be available on compact disc and presented as,’CHRISTMAS BY THE FIRESIDE’, the original album title as issued in the United Kingdom for the Christmas record buying season of 1959.

This long-running anthology series, a spinoff of the radio version, originally aired on CBS television from 1953-62, for a total of ten seasons and 302 episodes. Ronald Reagan served as host and occasional star beginning in 1954.
While most episodes were dramatic or comedic in nature, one exception was the December 19, 1954 episode titled “Music For Christmas”, in which Fred Waring and his Pennsylvanians performed yuletide songs.
Another exception for this episode was the fact that it was originally broadcast in color, and was the only episode of the General Electric Theater to be shown that way （and was one of the CBS network’s earliest color broadcasts）. Unfortunately only a black and white copy remains.

Prior to his ‘David Seville’ period of “Witch Doctor” and “Chipmunk” fame, Ross Bagdasarian had attracted some attention as a songwriter （”Come On-A-My House”） and as a bit player in movies （”Stalag 17″ “Rear Window”）. In 1953, he gave us a preview of the recorded mayhem that would follow later in the decade when he released this Christmas novelty single on the Mercury label.

Here is Judy’s original Decca release of this Christmas seasonal standard from “Meet Me In St. Louis.” Note the original lyrics–slightly different from what we’re used to hearing-which reflect the song’s placement at the saddest point in the movie’s plot （imagine a heartbroken Judy trying to comfort a weeping little Margaret O’Brien）.

NORADのサンタ追跡オペレーションセンター（NTSOC）によるサンタクロース追跡は日本時間12月24日の16時からとなっている。既にカウントダウンは終了しており、村にはサンタがいない。つまり出発したということのようだ。

　中国各地の学校に対し、クリスマス関連のイベント開催を禁じる通知が出ていることが２５日、分かった。中国メディアが報じた。キリスト教や民主主義などの「西側の価値観」やソフトパワーの浸透に警戒を示す中国指導部の意向を受けた措置の可能性があるが、「神経質すぎる」と反発する声も上がっている。
　報道によると、キリスト教徒が多いことで知られる浙江省温州市の教育当局は、小中学校や幼稚園に「校内でクリスマスと関連のある、いかなる活動も行わない」よう求める通知を出した。
