Lynn Anderson, singer of ‘Rose Garden,’ dies in Nashville
NASHVILLE, Tenn. （AP） — Lynn Anderson, whose strong, husky voice carried her to the top of the charts with “（I Never Promised You a） Rose Garden,” has died. She was 67.
A statement from the family said she passed away at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee, on Thursday. Her publicist said the cause of death was cardiac arrest.
Anderson first soaked up the national spotlight as a young singer on “The Lawrence Welk Show” between 1967 and 1969. Although she was signed to an independent label, the exposure helped her nab a deal with Columbia Records in Nashville.
“He was absolutely wholesome,” she said of Welk in a 1987 interview with The Associated Press. “He felt country music was coming into its own and deserved to be on national TV. At that time, I was the only one singing country music on national TV every week. He’s one of my heroes and always will be.”
And it was “Rose Garden” that sealed her country music legacy, earning her a Grammy and Country Music Association’s female vocalist of the year award in 1971.

An unfortunate Windows 10 user was left red-faced after upgrading to Microsoft’s new operating system – when his pornography catalogue began blinking across his screen in a slideshow on repeat.
Excited to upgrade to the new format, the computer-lover upgraded to the new software and left it to ‘do its thing’, only to be woken by his wife asking why his collection of pornographic images was rotating on the desktop view.
The unfortunate user appears to have fallen foul of feature of the new operating system which pulls through images saved in one of the default folders to be used as a slideshow.
Writing on Reddit under his username FalloutBoS, he said: “Loaded up WIN 10 last night and left it on to do its thing.
“Woke up to wife asking why I set it to rotate all my porn images right on the desk top view.
“I have no idea how to shut that feature off and that computer is staying shut down until I do.”

Windows8.1にもありましたが、当然Windows10にもある「ログインスライドショー」。これはログイン時にスライドショーが立ち上がるというダイナミックで視覚効果が高い素晴らしい機能です。
が、問題の男はそれを知らずにおそらくWindows7からアップグレード。そのさらにWindows10からはスライドショーをさせるフォルダを任意に指定できる。
その結果誤ってプライベートなヤバい画像も含まれてしまっていた可能性がある。

The brutal assassination of Dr Martin Luther King is a tragic blow to the Negro’s Non-violence campaign for equality. Movietone pays tribute to the inspiration of the “American Gandhi” and recalls the summers of race rioting which he so steadfastly sought to quell, and which could flare up once again with even more bitterness.

　７月３１日午後３時半ごろ、香川県まんのう町の国道３２号で、街路樹の枝切り作業現場の交通整理をしていた警備員の男性（２２）＝高松市＝が「しんどくてもう無理です」と体調不良を訴えた。病院に搬送されたが、熱中症と診断され、１日午前２時２５分に死亡した。
　琴平署によると、男性は３１日午前９時ごろから交通整理をしていた。１時間ごとに２０分の休憩や、昼食休憩なども取っていたという。

警備会社もピンきりで、電気や水道の工事の現場を１日何か所か移動して、現場の交通整理をするのは、中小の会社。警備の素人がビデオを見るという研修で現場に回されるパターンで、生活困窮者の最後の砦となっている。
現場では数十分ごとに交代でトイレや食事に行くが、何といっても持ち場では立ちっぱなしなので、炎天下は熱中症になっても不思議ではない。
２２歳の若さでそうした警備員をするというのは、若さの浪費であるような気がするが、なにか事情があったものか。

　厳しい暑さとなった２日、千葉市美浜区の幕張メッセではイベントの来場者８０人以上が体調不良を訴えた。県防災危機管理部によると、男女１１人が熱中症とみられる症状で救急搬送された。全員軽症という。
　イベントはスマホゲーム関連の「モンストフェスティバル２０１５」。朝から混雑し、主催のミクシィ社が午前１１時２２分に入場制限。入れない来場者が野外で長い列を作った。同社によると午後３時半現在、８２人が体調不良を訴えて会場に設けた救護室に来たという。
　横浜市から来た大学３年の男性（２０）は「入場規制で入れないと言われたが、ダメもとで並んだ。日なたなので倒れてもおかしくないと思った。ただ、ここまで混むとは思わず、水などは用意していなかった」と話した。
　銚子地方気象台によると、県内の最高気温は市原市牛久で３７・１度、千葉市で３４度を記録した。

午前１１時４５分ごろ、千葉市美浜区の幕張メッセで開催中のイベントに入場しようと並んでいた人が熱中症とみられる症状を訴え、次々と病院に運ばれた。
千葉市消防局によると男女１１人を搬送したが重症者はいないという。
予想を超える来場者が集まり、屋外で長時間並んでいたという。

地球温暖化の最終段階に至るまでは気温の上昇する地域、極端に寒冷化する地域、豪雨、旱魃の地域など様々であるが、
１００年経たぬうち、水循環や海流など、全ての有機的ムーヴメントが終わり、地球全体が高温化して死の星となる。我々の孫の時代には人類はもとよりほとんどの生物は生存できなくなるだろう。
これはもうかなり前に、科学的に予想されたことだ。
