西日本では１７日、前線を伴う低気圧の影響で九州北部を中心に大雨となった。
気象庁は西・東日本の太平洋側では１８日朝にかけて局地的に雷を伴う非常に激しい雨が降るとして、土砂災害や低地の浸水、河川の増水に警戒するよう呼び掛けた。
低気圧は急速に発達しながら日本海を北東へ進み、太平洋側では暖かく湿った空気が流れ込む見込み。ほぼ全国的に海上を中心に暴風や高波にも警戒が必要。
