アルゼンチン政府は１３日、同国の２００１年の債務不履行（デフォルト）を巡り、全額返済を求める米ファンドとの返済交渉を再開した。返済交渉はファンドに厳しい姿勢を打ち出していた前政権下で暗礁に乗り上げていたが、２０１５年末の政権交代を受け、ようやく動き出した。
アルゼンチンの経済財務省幹部が米ニューヨークを訪問し、米裁判所が指定した仲介人の事務所で会談した。同幹部は会談後、記者団に対して１月下旬までに政府案をまとめてファンド側に提出する意向を示した。

つい先日も国内航空会社が倒産した。

アルゼンチン政府は、複数の国内線路線を運航する「SOL航空」（DA： Sol Airlines）に対し、アルゼンチン航空を通して行っていた財政援助を打ち切ると発表いたしました。
これを受け２０１６年１月１５日（金）より「SOL航空」は営業を停止、事実上の倒産となっております。
