オリエンタルランドが運営する東京ディズニーランド（千葉県浦安市）が１５日、開業３０周年を迎えた。同日午前８時４５分から始まった記念イベントには、ミッキーマウスら人気キャラクターが勢ぞろいした。同日から昼のパレードを刷新するなどして節目の年を盛り上げる。

開園当初はまるで「出演拒否のニューミュージック歌手」や「取材お断りのラーメン屋」みたいに 高みに立ったメディア対応をしていたが、
ある時期からガラリと変わり、お笑いタレントがレポートするような番組でもＯＫになった。
ミッキーマウスを見て幼児のようにはしゃいでる大人は私の目には奇異に映る。
はしゃいでる自分の子供を見て嬉しくなるんなら分かるが・・・
アメリカ人気質まる出しで表情の作り方も外人っぽいアニメのミッキーマウスより、
人間が扮する表情の変わらないディズニーランドのミッキーマウスのほうが日本人に人気がある点は、
いかにもだなぁと思う。

福島第一、また配電盤にネズミ 点検のため冷却一時停止
東京電力は２２日、福島第一原発２号機の使用済み燃料プールの冷却装置の変圧器の端子の近くでネズミの死骸が見つかったと発表した。停電はしていないが、東電は点検のため、午前１１時半過ぎに冷却装置を停止した。３～４時間ほど止める予定。

4月16日付の『新京報』が社説で扱っていることでも話題性は伝わってくるが、要するに刑務官が受刑者の身内から金をもらっているという問題だ。
受刑者の刑務所内での待遇は家族や親族が用意した賄賂の額次第というわけだ。言い換えれば、賄賂が用意できない受刑者は、とにかく地獄を見るとみて間違いない。まさに地獄の沙汰も金次第ということだ。
もともと中国の刑務所は、「自由に出入りしている受刑者がいる」など信じられない話が常に付きまとう世界だ。これまでメディアが放っておいたことこそ奇跡というほかないほどの無法地帯だった。
だが、このところの話題となっているのはいわゆる正規の刑務所ではなく、労働教育所と呼ばれる施設である。「強制労働」などの言葉でイメージされる場所で、軽度の窃盗など“刑務所未満”の犯罪者が送られてくるのが一般的だ。

問題となった大連の馬三家女性労働教育所では、ありとあらゆる拷問の器具がそろえられ、日夜蛮行が繰り返されていたというのだ。なかには清の時代の拷問椅子が使われたこともあっという。
まるで映画のワンシーンのようでにわかには信じ難いのだが、中国ではいま、正式に調査委員会が設立され、間もなく本格的な調査も行われようとしているという。
驚いたのは問題が発覚するまでのプロセスである。日々繰り返された拷問の実態をメモした小さな紙片をビニールに包み、それを女性の陰部に隠して持ちたしたというのだ。

侵略を繰り返してきた一党独裁の軍事ファッショ国家であるから、中国４０００年の伝統である極悪非道の拷問を受け継いでるとしても、それはむしろ当然といえる。
古代中国の拷問はとにかく凄惨の極みで、中世カトリックの魔女狩りの拷問より残忍じゃないかという気がする。
漢字の成り立ちにも、そうした拷問や、人命を弄ぶがごとき呪術や儀式が深く影響しているという。
近世では西太后の行なった拷問にもゾッとするようなものがあった。
中国において道徳観念が身分制度・封建制を固定化する方向で発達していったのも頷ける。
唯物論や共産主義に夢中になったのも、それが彼らの感性にフィットしたからだろう。
遺伝子レベルで、
他者に対する同情、共感、惻隠の情、慈しみの心といったものが著しく低く、
嗜虐的傾向が強いのでは？ ……などと疑わざるを得ない。もちろん日本人にもその一分はある。
人体実験を行なった旧日本軍７３１部隊の鬼畜の所業も、しかし古代中国の拷問に比べるといささか色褪せる。だからといって相対的に罪が軽いとか許されるというわけではない。
大陸部の中国人もそろそろ近代的知性・セルフコントロール（自己抑制）を身につけるべき時期だろうと、私は言いたいのだ。
何よりも大切なのは命であり、個人であり、他者を思いやる仁愛の精神だということ。
命を大切にしない国家に未来はないよ。我が大日本帝国がいい例だ。

On this day in 1923, the Disney Brothers Cartoon Studio was founded – here is some lovely footage of Disney World in 1971.
Movietone’s cameraman Terry King visits New Disney World in Florida. Recently opened, we see Cinderella’s Castle, Walt Disney characters Mickey Mouse, Pluto, Donald Duck and many others meet children and parents in the streets. Visits to Fantasy-land, Tomorrow-land, Main Street, Frontier-land, Adventure-land and ride the Monorail. 43 square miles of ex-swamp and scrubland… transformed to the wonderful Fantasy World of Walt Disney.
