Though the lyrics of this song are all about a fella named ‘Johnny Guitar’, that name does not appear on the label nor was the song included in the score of the 1954 cult classic Joan Crawford western “Johnny Guitar.” Peggy Lee recorded the movie’s actual title song （also heard under the opening film credits）, while Patti’s “My Restless Lover,” released on the flipside of her hit “Cross Over The Bridge,” managed a #28 peak on the Cash Box singles chart.
