これまでに一番疲れた経験は、ドラマのスタッフとして某美大の長大な坂道を日に幾度となく登り降りしたことだったが、先日はそれ以上に疲れる肉体労働をした。
脱水症状で倒れる寸前、両の手足は筋肉が攣り激痛で動かすことも儘ならない、吐き気もある。炎天下だったら死んでたろう。
最近は栄養状態が悪かったのだが、やはり年齢的な部分が大きい。
３日たった今日も、体中の筋肉と関節が痛く、立ち上がるのも座るのも難儀な状態だ。

昨今は老性自覚のないシルバー世代が増えていると聞く。肉体労働をせず楽に生きてるからだろう。

　「ビザや旅券がないなら中国に帰れ！」と言いたいが、この団体の法人登記を見ると、理事には複数の中華系民主活動家の名が見られ、その１人は現職国会議員の親族で、もう１人は議員の私設秘書の父親である。この国会議員は「日本赤軍」との関係が明らかになった組織とのつながりが指摘されている。

With an undocumented Marxist in the White House passing Executive Order after Executive Order, tanks rolling on the streets of America, a media that lies, deceives and covers up, plus a Congress that would let a bill like the NDAA pass and our economy very possibly on the verge of collapse…let us not take our liberty for granted one more day. I also think it is fair to point out that we have thousands of more troops back on the homeland due to our withdrawal from Iraq, which may explain more movement than usual…yet some of what you will see is inexplicable. 私が思い当たるのは、米国デフォルト・新通貨切り替えに伴う暴動を鎮圧する訓練。
少なくともイスラムとの戦争ではないだろうし、現状、中国と戦う積極的理由がない。
となればアメリカ国家 v.s. アメリカ市民の戦争くらいしか思い浮かばんのだ。

歌詞に「The soldier blues（青い軍服を来た兵士たち）」とあることから、アメリカ南北戦争における北軍の出征兵士の行進を描いていることが判るのだそうだ。その中にいる若き兵士ビリーを、婚約者の女性が見送っているシーンで、「英雄にならないで＝死なないで帰ってきて」と願うのだが、歌の最後で、女性のもとに戦死の報らせが届いたことが明かされる。

Previously a 1969-70 hit for the Canadian group The Original Caste, “One Tin Soldier” roared back in 1971 after this new version appeared in the soundtrack of the Warner Bros. movie “Billy Jack.” Though only the lead singer of the group Coven （Jinx Dawson） was heard performing with the film’s studio orchestra on this popular WB track, the entire group took part in the recording of a different competing version for the MGM label （a bit brighter and faster:）, but radio play was purportedly squelched by the movie’s producers at the time.* Upon the 1973 re-release of “Billy Jack,” both singles were reissued and both peaked in the 70s of the Billboard Hot 100.
* Though the MGM version does not appear in Joel Whitburn’s 1971 Pop Singles chart history research, both Billboard and Record World （not certain about Cash Box） did document both the WB and MGM versions together in the same Coven chart position for at least some of the weeks during the song’s run that year.
