米イリノイ州シカゴの公園で19日夜、銃撃事件があり、警察当局によると、子ども1人を含む13人が負傷した。
当局によると、負傷者のうち1人は3歳児で、重体だという。
銃撃は米中部時間同日午後10時15分頃に発生。警察は現在、屋外のバスケットボールコート周辺に非常線を張っている。
同日夜の時点で、容疑者は捕まっていない。

Bandleader Kassel is given composer credit for this march tune celebrating the successful Chicago World’s Fair, aka “A Century Of Progress International Exposition.” The fair ran for five months each in 1933 and 1934 with much of the activity located in the area now home to Northerly Island Park and McCormick Place.
Johnson-Shirley shows vocalists for this track as “The Gang,” with no identity given for the male lead.

Both this and the flip side “Wasn’t It Beautiful While It Lasted?” were written for the Broadway musical “Flying High” (355 performances), which starred Bert Lahr and Kate Smith. Lahr & Charlotte Greenwood filled those roles for MGM’s 1931 film version, though none of the play’s DeSylva-Brown-Henderson songs were used.
