夜がゲラゲラ笑ってる

 

仕事の関係でこの2ヶ月、完全なる昼夜逆転生活を送っていた。
規則正しい(!)逆転生活だったので、当初案じたほど苦にはならなかったし、日常生活でそれほど困るわけではなかった。
しかし、もうそれも終わったので元に戻さなければならないのだが、
ハテサテ、どうなることやら。

Tommy Dorsey and his Orchestra – Deep Night(1939)

TD’s “Marie Cycle” recording #7 was arranged by Paul Weston and turned out to be Jack Leonard’s swan song with that incarnation of the Dorsey band. He would soon be replaced on the bandstand by young Frank Sinatra but would return to Dorsey in 1950. The song “Deep Night” had been an important early step in the career of Rudy Vallee, who co-wrote and recorded it successfully in 1929.
