ノルウェーでは毎年６月２３日の晩（聖ヨハネの前夜祭）に、ヨンソク“Jonsok”と呼ばれる夏至祭りが催されます。
大きな「かがり火」を焚く火祭りとしても知られているのですが、１年分の不要な材木などが湖の近くに集められ、その日に一斉に燃やされるのです。
