７３年ともなると、今につながる商品がずいぶんと出てきてますね。
電卓が高価なのには驚いた。当時のものを一つ持ってますよ。
これといって役に立たないけど、なんとなく面白いのが雑学ですね。
でも、悉く書を信ずれば則ち書無きに如かず、とじか云いますから。

今年もまた、政府主催による「建国記念の日」の式典は開催されない。まことに残念である。
自民党は一昨年の衆院選で、政府主催の式典開催を公約に掲げた。圧勝して政権を回復したにもかかわらず、公約はいまだ実現をみていない。
昨年末に靖国神社に参拝し、「国民との約束」（菅義偉官房長官）を果たした安倍晋三首相の英断は高く評価されるものだが、建国を祝う行事の開催も「国民との約束」ではなかったろうか。
そもそも「建国記念の日」は明治５年、日本書紀が記す初代神武天皇の即位の日に基づいて政府が定めた「紀元節」に始まる。

消防学校の研修生に暴行を繰り返すなどしたとして、東京消防庁は１０日、消防学校講師の消防士長ら７人を停職６～１月の停職処分とし、暴行を黙認した消防司令補ら３人を減給処分とした。

「軍隊式の」という言葉があったくらい、大日本帝国陸海軍では下級兵への暴力が恒常化していた。特に新兵訓練では「鉄拳制裁」「精神注入棒」に象徴される懲罰名目の肉体的暴行が当たり前のように行われていた。
軍隊はいつの時代どこの国でも絶対的階級制度であるから、それだけがかかる醜行の原因だったとはいえない。それはあくまで素地・背景であって、やはり立場が上であることを根拠に（つまり嵩にかかって）他人を徹底的に貶めて気分を良くする浅ましい精神、理想・理念の無さが元にあったというべきだろう。
もっとも殺したり殺されたりしなければならない職業が現実問題として不可欠であることは間違いなく、和平推進と自国防衛は車の両輪となるべきものだと私は思っている。永遠にとは言わぬが、現代の世界では少なくともそうなのだ。
問題は戦争や紛争で利益を上げる企業が世界中にたくさんあって、国際政治にも深く関与しているであろうこと。そして武力という最も強い力を握っている職業軍人も自己目的化している。
そういう勢力がいる限り、いくら一国の政治家が戦争をしない・させない努力をしても限界がある。
また一方で「反戦」「平和」のスローガンを勢力拡大の道具に使っている集団（左翼系、集票団体など）も多い。若い人はそういうのにすぐに騙されるので、そっちも心配だ。
