 今回の参院選では各テレビ局が競うように開票開始直後から「当確」を連発し、早々と大勢が判明した。
 普段、比較的慎重なNHKでさえも、まだ投票を締め切ったばかりの午後8時の時点で、改選121議席のうち97議席で当確を打った。その後午後11時までに、すでに108議席が確定している。

むかしは開票速報を肴に一杯やれたんだけどね。
「開票開始直後」どころか、期日前投票で判っちまうんだから味気ないよ。
「無党派層がまだ投票先を決めておらず、その動向次第で…」って言われても、無党派層だって期日前投票してるんだからね。
毎回「今宵はここまでに致しとうござりまする」で終わるのは1988年の大河ドラマ『武田信玄』だったそうだが、
つまらんのでオレも寝ることにした。
