While not all sources agree on the exact timeline, it appears that this post is the earliest-recorded version of the pop standard which has actually been issued, though there were others on the market before Motown finally got around to releasing the track in late 1966 on Barbara’s LP “Here I Am.” Composed and usually recorded as a ballad, “For Once In My Life” achieved its greatest recording success with Stevie Wonder’s bright-tempo’d 1968 hit
強姦罪などで懲役１２年が確定し、大阪地検が無罪の可能性が高いとして釈放した男性の再審請求に対し、大阪地裁は２７日、再審開始を決定した。
被害を受けたとしていた女性と目撃者が証言を翻したほか、性的被害の痕跡がないとする診療記録が存在していたことも判明。登石（といし）郁朗裁判長は「無罪を言い渡すべき明らかな新証拠がある」と述べた。男性は再審で無罪が言い渡される見通し。
決定によると、男性は２００４年１１月と０８年４月、大阪市内で同じ女性に乱暴し、０８年７月にもこの女性の胸をつかんだなどとして、強姦、強制わいせつ両罪で起訴された。女性が０８年８、９月の２回にわたり、大阪府警に告訴していた。
男性は捜査段階から無罪を主張したが、０９年の大阪地裁判決は「１４歳だった女性がありもしない被害をでっちあげて告訴するとは考えにくい」などとし、懲役１２年の実刑とした。１０年に大阪高裁が控訴を棄却し、１１年には最高裁が上告を退け、１審判決が確定した。
男性は服役中の１４年９月、同地裁に再審請求。地裁の再審請求審で、女性と目撃者が、有罪の決め手とされた１審での証言を虚偽と認め、「取り調べや裁判では、うそと打ち明けられなかった」と説明した。
地検の再捜査では、女性が０８年８月に医療機関を受診した際、医師が「被害を受けたことを示す痕跡がない」という見解を記載した診療記録も見つかった。
