先週だったか渋谷東急ハンズにチョコレートで出来ている等身大ハチ公像が飾ってあった。表面の凸凹まで正確に再現されてて本物のハチ公像に見えたよ。

そういえば内外で雪のトトロ像が作られているという記事もあったな。あれも作るのは難しそうだ。

国税当局が告発し、特捜検察が起訴した事件として初めて、１審控訴審ともに無罪判決が出ていた八田隆さんに対し、東京高検は14日に上告断念を発表。八田さんの無罪は確定した。
誰にとっても無益な裁判が、これ以上引き延ばされないことは、喜ばしい。
しかし、釈然としないのは、検察やメディアの対応である。
東京高検が発表した「次席検事コメント」は左の写真のような代物。タイトルは「八田隆に対する所得税法違反事件」だ。裁判所に新たな証拠を提出することも認めてもらえないほどの無謀な控訴をし、一審よりさらに踏み込んだ無罪判決が出た事件である。謝罪があってしかるべきところを、なお「八田隆」と呼び捨てる、高飛車な”お上感覚”には唖然とする。
多くの新聞は、この結果を報じたが、ほとんどがベタ記事か活字の小さい短信扱い。理解できないのは、朝日新聞、東京新聞、日経新聞、共同通信が、八田氏の名前を匿名としていたことだ。告発、起訴などを実名で報じたからには、その人に対する刑事訴追は無罪が確定して終わったことは、名前を明らかにして伝え、名誉回復を図るべきではないだろうか。ましてや八田氏は、匿名報道を望んではいないのだ。

　ＮＨＫ経営委員を務める小説家の百田尚樹氏が東京都知事選の応援演説で、米軍による東京大空襲や原爆投下を「大虐殺」とした上で、第２次大戦後の東京裁判を批判したことについて、在日米大使館（東京都港区）の報道担当官は８日、「非常識だ」と批判した。米政府の公式の統一見解としている。
　担当官は、百田氏の発言について「非常識だ。米政府は、責任ある地位にある人物が（アジア）地域の緊張をあおるような発言を控えるよう努めることを望む」と述べた。
　百田氏は３日、都知事選の応援演説をした際、東条英機元首相らＡ級戦犯を裁いた東京裁判について、「大虐殺」を「ごまかすための裁判」と主張。南京大虐殺に関しても「３８年に蒋介石がやたらと宣伝したが、世界の国は無視した。そんなことはなかったからだ」と発言した。

「草食男子」が２００９年に流行語大賞トップ１０入りを果たしてからというもの、「雑食系男子」「絶食系男子」「ロールキャベツ系男子」「装飾男子」などさまざまな「男子」が現れては消えていった。２０１３年夏には女性ファッション誌「GINGER（ジンジャー）」が３０歳前後の女性が理想とする男性像として「仙人男子」を取り上げた。いつも「なんか楽しそう」な雰囲気で、遊びも仕事も肩肘張らず自然体、器が大きく包容力のある穏やかな大人の男性を指すそうで、エッセイストの犬山紙子さんは「週刊プレイボーイ」４７号の中で「肉食・草食系男子両方から派生した完成系」と評していた。
「完成系」も出たところでいよいよ○○男子ブームも終焉かと思われた頃、ダジャレ交じりの新ネタ「仏男子」を持ち込んだのが女性ファッション誌「non-no（ノンノ）」だ。２０１４年３月号（１月２０日発売）では「イマドキ男子」の間で急増している新種との扱いで、３ページにわたって紹介している。
外見や性格はふつうでありながら「ブッダ級」のガツガツ感の無さが特徴…というと「草食男子」と大した違いはなさそうだが、「趣味が一番」「自分のペースで行動したい」「恋愛は面倒くさい」「ｒ気を使いたくない」「彼女なんていらない」「一人が好き」「女の子といると疲れる」と、より具体的な７項目を掲げて定義する。
自分の身の丈を理解して世の中を達観している様や、欲望にとらわれず、ひたすら自分だけの時間を大切にする傾向が「仏」的であるとのことらしい。ちなみに誌面では「僧職系男子」という表現も使われているが、昨今女性の間で人気を集める「若手僧侶」「美坊主」などとは別物で、「草食系」をもじっただけのようだ。

水上勉の原作を若尾文子、山下洵一郎で映像化した吉村公三郎監督『越前竹人形』（1963）を思い出しました。
若尾文子が手も触れない山下洵一郎に業を煮やして迫ると「ほっとてちょうだいねー」とホカされるんですけど、それがなんとなくユーモラスで印象に残ってます。

One of the many recordings by 1960’s Los Angeles vocalist, Charlotte O’Hara who achieved some success as the lead vocalist of Bonnie and the Treasures on the1965’Wall of Sound’ recording,’Home Of The Brave’ issued on Phi-Dan Records. This unknown and unreleased tune which is just over a minute and a half in duration, has a simple arrangement that also included some string players. Recorded at Hollywood’s Gold Star Studios in 1968,’Give Me All Your Love’ was cut on a seven inch 45 rpm acetate on which Charlotte sings the Jane McNealy tune,’Hold Me In Your Arms’ on the other side.

Strange to think that pros like the record’s producers Bob Crewe and Al Kasha would have let this slip past them: this is the 1957 Coasters song “（When She Wants Good Lovin’） My Baby Comes To Me,” written by Leiber & Stoller. However, the original-release Chicago Loop 45 label altered the wording of the title to what you see above and also credited the band members as the song’s writers. Upon being notified of their’error,’ DynoVoice corrected both the title and composers on subsequent pressings of the single （both label versions are shown in the video）.
