ギリシャのサマラス首相は、国際社会から次回の融資を受けられなければ１１月以降は持ちこたえられないとした上で、欧州中央銀行（ＥＣＢ）が保有するギリシャ債に関する条件緩和などを通じてギリシャを支援できる、との考えを示した。５日付の独ハンデルスブラット紙とのインタビューで語った。
サマラス首相は「カギを握るのは流動性だ。次回の融資がわれわれにとって非常に重要なのはそのためだ」と述べた。
追加融資なしでいつまで持ちこたえられるかとの質問には「１１月末までだ。それ以降は国庫が空になる」と回答。

ギリシャのスタイコウラス副財務相は９日、ギリシャの現金準備が急速に減少しており、現在ぎりぎりの状態になっていると述べた。
同財務相は記者会見で、「政府の現金準備はぎりぎりの状態にある」とし、「これにより、経済は窒息状態になっている」と述べた。
ギリシャは総額１３００億ユーロの支援の下での３１５億ユーロの次回融資の実施を待っているが、財務省高官はこの日、融資実施が遅延するとの公算が大きくなっていることから、政府は来週償還を迎える５０億ユーロを超える財務省証券のロールオーバを検討していることを明らかにしている。

この演説は、新唐人日本が７月５日付ニュースでネット配信したことから、拡散された。クリントン国務長官は、「２０年後、中国は世界で、最も貧しい国になる」という根拠について、以下のように示していた。「１．移民申請の状況から見て、中国９割の官僚家族と８割の富豪がすでに移民申請を出した。またはその意向がある。一国家の指導層と既得権益階級がなぜ自国に自信をなくすのか理解しがたい。
２．中国人は社会の個体として、国家と社会に対して負うべき、責任と義務がわかっていない。国際社会に対して負うべき責任はなおさら分かっていない。受けた教育或いはメディアの宣伝はほとんどが憎しみと他人または他国を歪曲した内容で、人々の理性と公正な判断力を失わせる。
３．中国は世界で数少ない信仰のない恐ろしい国で、全国民が崇拝するのは権力と金銭のみだ。利己的で愛心のない、同情心を失った国家が国際社会の尊重と信頼を得られると思うか？
４．中国政府の所謂政治は人民を騙し人間性に背く以外の何物でもない。人民大衆は過去の権力の奴隷から今は金銭の奴隷に変わった。このような政権がいかに人民の尊重と信頼を得られるか。
５．大多数の中国人は「面目が立ち」、「尊厳のある生活」とは何か全くわかっていない。民衆にとっては権力と金銭の獲得が生活の全てで、成功なのだ。全民腐敗、堕落といった現象は人類の歴史上でも空前絶後だ。
６．憚ることのない環境破壊と資源の略奪、贅沢と浪費の生活方式は何個の地球だと供給できるのだろか？ 他国が危惧するのも当たり前だ。中国政府はいつも民衆の注意力を他国にそらし、敵を造り、自分の圧力を外部に転嫁させようとするが、時代の流れと人類文明の趨勢に従い、自ら変革を起こし、民生に関心を払い、民主を重視し、無責任な抑圧をやめるべきだ。でないと、中国はますます不安定になり、将来大きい社会動乱と人道災難が出現し、２０年後 中国は世界で最も貧しい国になるだろう。これは全人類と災難であり、米国の災難でもある」蓄財した中国富裕層や共産党高級幹部、北京政府高級官僚らが、こぞって海外逃亡していけば、残るのは貧乏人ばかりというのは、十分あり得る。

何が悪かって人をモノ扱いしているところが許しがたい。元から強かったそうした民族性を、唯物思想の共産主義がダメ押しした観がある。
結局は元の木阿弥、共産中国以前に戻ることになるのだろう。
米中がこぞって衰微すれば、日本の優秀さがまた輝きを取り戻す可能性だって無きにしも非ずだな。

そもそも水谷に憧れて芸能界に入ったという寺脇。１９９１年放送の『刑事貴族２』（日本テレビ系）で水谷と初共演を果たし、２０００年スタートの『相棒』で亀山薫役に抜擢されると、毎回、リハーサル前から水谷やスタッフと念入りな打ち合わせをしながらドラマ作りに励んだ。
だが、シリーズを重ねるにつれて、ふたりの距離は徐々に開いていった。寺脇には、『相棒』を人気シリーズにしたのには、自分も少なからず貢献しているという自負があり、撮影現場で、意見することも多くなったという。水谷が考えた演出プランと違うプランを出すこともあったようだ。
「寺脇さんではなく、水谷さんが目立ってこその『相棒』です。寺脇さんの意見は、水谷さんやプロデューサーと違うことも多く、周囲から“主役を立てないで自分が目立とうとしている”とささやかれるようになってしまったんです。最初はスタッフと気まずかっただけなんですが、次第に水谷さんともぎくしゃくするようになっていきましたね」（テレビ局関係者）
やがて、恒例だったリハーサル前の打ち合わせも行われなくなり、寺脇が意見を言っても、撮影に取り入れられないことが増えていった。
