昨今はこういう事件が起きても２、３日ですぐ忘れられてしまうようです。
金属バット殴打殺人といいますと、おそらく私の母校の後輩がしでかした親殺しがその嚆矢（こうし）というか初発だったと記憶しています。あの事件は社会に大きなショックを与えました。

過去のツイートを自動消去し、「安全・安心なTwitterライフをアシスト」してくれるというサービス「黒歴史クリーナー」がこのほどリニューアルした。削除スピードを大幅に高速化したほか、ツイートのダウンロード機能など新機能を追加した。
黒歴史クリーナーは、Twitterアカウントでログインし、ボタンを１回クリックするだけで、過去のツイートを削除できるサービス。Webアプリ開発者の＠cohakimさんが開発した。
「炎上予防のために定期的にツイートを消去したい方や、フォロー／フォロワーを残したままTwitterをやり直したい方などに好評を得ている」といい、昨年４月の公開から８カ月で７万ユーザーを突破し、現在も１日１０００人以上の黒歴史を葬っているという。
このほどリニューアルし、スマートフォンに最適化したデザインに一新したほか、削除スピードを大幅に高速化。以前は３００ツイート削除に１時間かかっていたが、１５分で全ツイート（最大３２００件）を削除できるようになった。

米Twitterは２月７日（現地時間）、公式Twitter（モバイルを含む）での検索で、従来より古いツイートを結果として表示するようにしたと発表した。適用対象はiOSおよびAndroidアプリと、Twitter．com。
Twitterでは従来、およそ１週間前までのツイートしか検索結果に表示されなかった。今回のアップデートでどこまでさかのぼって古いツイートが表示されるのか、Twitterは具体的には明らかにしていないが、筆者が検索した範囲では、２００７年２月のツイートが表示された。Twitterのサービスが開始されたのは２００６年７月。
Twitterによると、検索結果に表示されるのは検索語を含むすべてのツイートではなく、リツイートなどは省いたものになっている。今後、ユーザーにとって最適な結果を表示できるよう改善していくとしている。
同社は前日、モバイルアプリとモバイルWebアプリでの検索結果のハイブリッド化を発表した。

他人のツイートを読むことがほとんど無いので正確なところは分からんのですが、本人にしか意味のない、本人しか正しく意味を解せないツイートがほとんどじゃないですかね。検索結果でそういうのばかり出てきたらやだナー。
試しに２００９年８月の自分のツイートをいくつか検索してみましたが、まったくヒットしません。twitter.comでもGoogleでもダメ。なんでだろ。

これは労作ですね。実に面白い！
同じ映画を違う局で、異なる吹き替えで放送することがありまして、その違う吹き替えを同じセリフ部分で左右のチャンネルに振り分け同時に聴かせる、ということを昔やったことがありました。
海外の映画ファンサイトでは、映画の名セリフに関するものが結構あります。日本人とはまた違う部分に感銘を受けたりすることがわかって、けっこう面白いですよ。
南太平洋のパプアニューギニアで６日、２０歳の女性が魔術を使ったとして火あぶりの刑で公開処刑された。複数の地元紙が７日、伝えた。見物人の中には児童たちもいたという。
地元紙ナショナル（National）やポストクーリエ（Post－Courier）によると、事件が起きたのはパプアニューギニア西ハイランド（Western Highlands）州マウントハーゲン（Mount Hagen）。６歳の息子を魔術で殺害した疑いをかけられたケパリ・レニアータ（Kepari Leniata）さん（２０）は６日朝、丸裸にされ焼きごてで烙印を押されたうえ、縛られて灯油をかけられ、ごみやタイヤの山の上で地元住民の手で生きながら火をつけられたという。
警察官は見物人の数に圧倒され処刑を止めることができなかったという。また、通報を受けて消防車も駆け付けたが、住民らに追い返されたという。
地元各紙はレニアータさんの焼死体の写真とともに事件を１面で伝えた。報道によるとレニアータさんは、息子を殺害したと認めていたという。レニアータさんの息子は５日、腹部と胸部の痛みを訴えて病院に搬送された後、死亡していた。
警察は処刑に関与した住民らを殺人の容疑で逮捕する方針だ。
