生と死が交錯する「春」

この冬の個人的感想。
前の冬並みに寒かったが、大きく違ったのは、私の体調。
睡眠中 口腔内がカラカラになる。これは今冬初めて経験した。日本茶をがぶ飲みするなど、けっこう水分をとってるのに、なぜか唾液が出ない。首の角度と口が開いてしまうことが原因か。
乾燥肌は相変わらず。尿素の使われてない乾燥肌用痒み止めクリーム（ムヒソフトGX）を試してみたところ、痒み抑制の効き目はそこそこだったが、肌のコンディションを整える効果が実感された。

劣化したのは私の体だけではない。いろんな持ち物が壊れた。
２１年前に買ったホイッスルケトル。お湯が湧くとピーッと鳴るアレ。あれの笛の部分が取れてしまった。金属ネジを受け止めていた蓋側の小さな筒型部分が折れてしまい、これはちょっと元には戻らない。ヤカンとしては使えるけれども、側面と底を接合した作りの安モンなので使うには不安がある。そろそろ捨てどきか。
同じころ買って毎シーズン使い続けてきた毛布もフチの生地が擦り切れてボロボロになった。毛布自体としては特にどこかおかしくなったわけではないので、来シーズンも使うつもりだ。

大量生産の工業製品にかぎらず、どんな道具・品物も、『使っても使わなくても壊れる』のがさだめ。ならば『使い切って終わらせる』ことこそがその道具・品物の価値を最大限に引き出し『活かした』ことになる。
翻って人間はどうか？　人間は道具ではない。しかし個々人の価値、人間総体＝人類としての価値はやはり活かされてほしいと思う。個人の寿命が短いように、人類がいつまで生存できるかは誰にもわからない。
大望を抱いて郷関を出づるも、赫々たる声望を得る者、所を得ず髀肉の嘆を託つ者、さまざまだ。生きてるうちにその価値を発揮しなければ宝の持ち腐れ。季節が巡りきて自然と花が開くように、おのおの分に応じた華が咲くことを願わずにはおれない。
いよいよ春だな。

Johnson-Shirley ABDORAF notes that Adrian Schubert （rather than Harry Reser） is thought to have conducted some or all of the Clicquot sessions from December 1929 on.

フロリダ州の警察当局などによると、同州中部タンパ近郊にある民家で先月２８日、寝室下の地面が突如陥没して穴（シンクホール）が発生、住民の男性が転落し行方不明となった。
穴部分は崩落の悪化も予想される危険な状態が続いており、救出作業が難航している。
男性の兄弟は１日、転落しながら助けを求める叫び声が聞こえて寝室に駆け込んだところ、ベッドやタンス、テレビなど全ての物が消えていたとＣＮＮに証言。穴近くでシャベルを使ってがれきなどを掘り出し、兄弟を懸命に捜したが、到着した警官隊が寝室の床全体が崩壊する恐れがあるとして現場から引き離したという。
被害が起きたのはタンパ近郊セフナーにある１９７０年代建築の平屋建ての民家で、在宅していた２歳児を含む他の４人は難を逃れていた。

シンクホール（sinkhole）とは陥没穴の意で、何万年もかかって出来たのもあれば、とつぜん出来たのもあって、そういう地表の穴すべてをひっくるめてシンクホールというそうだ。
世界各所では、いろんな原因によりとつぜん大きな穴が開き、人や自動車が落ちている。
「人生の落伍者」「落ちこぼれ」「転落人生」もイヤだけど、こういう物理的なのも困るなァ…
人類全体でみると宝くじの大当たりよりも確率が低そうだ。
住む前に地質・地層を多少なりとも調べとく必要があるね。
