発光ダイオード（ＬＥＤ）電球の販売で「６０ワット相当の明るさ」などと表示していたのに実際は光量が足りなかったとして、消費者庁は１４日、景品表示法に基づき１２社に再発防止を求める措置命令を出した。
同庁によると、問題を指摘されたのは１２社の計５４商品で、売上総額は約８億円。中には、表示に対し約３０％の光量しかなかった商品もあった。

木村政昭、山村武彦著「富士山の噴火は始まっている！」（宝島社 ９５２円）は、気鋭の海洋地震学者と、防災の第一人者による警告の書。緊迫度を増す富士山噴火の実態と、予測される被害を解説する。
東日本大震災以降、富士山周辺では地震活動が活発化している。例えば富士山北東麓では、震災が起きるまでの１０年間、震度１以上の有感地震は一度も起きていなかった。にもかかわらず、昨年５月からは毎月１～８回の地震が起きており、今年１月には震度５弱の強い揺れを観測するに至っている。
また、地震以外の異変も起きている。震災以降、富士宮市では膨大な量の異常湧水が続いた。同市当局はこれを台風の影響などと述べていたが、本書では“水噴火”ではないかとみている。震災によって地殻に圧力がかかったが、そこにマグマではなく地下水があったために、地表に噴き上げた。つまり仕組みは、マグマの噴出と同じということだ。
さらに、富士山周辺の風穴に立つ天然の氷柱が、今年に入ってから短く、量が少なくなっている。これも火山活動と無関係ではなく、マグマの活発化による地下温度の上昇が考えられるのだ。
そうしたさまざまな現象から、２０１５年までに富士山の噴火が起こることが計算できると本書。

日本最高峰のおひざ元、静岡県と山梨県の観光関係者は１日、不安混じりに山開きを迎えた。登山客が押し寄せるこのシーズンは、地元にとって一番のかき入れ時だが、悪い材料が続いているからだ。
昨年は、東京電力福島第１原発事故の影響で外国人観光客が減少。環境省によると、７月１日～８月３１日の登山者数（富士山８合目でカウント）は、２０１０年度と比べて約２・８万人減の約２９・３万人となり、３０万人を割った。
地元の旅館経営者は「特に中国や韓国などアジア系の観光客はほとんど来なくなり、売り上げが２割ぐらい落ちた」と肩を落とす。
追い打ちをかけるのがこの噂だ。
「富士山の噴火です。いろんなところで報道されるようになり、そのせいで『登山客が来なくならないか』とみな気をもんでいるんです」（静岡県の観光業者）

地震やマグマの突き上げなどで、富士山の山体崩壊が起きると、周辺の最大約４０万人が被災するという試算を静岡大防災総合センターの小山真人教授（火山学）が公表した。２１日に開かれた静岡県防災・原子力学術会議の地震・火山対策分科会（藤井敏嗣会長）で明らかにした。
富士山は０４年に国主導でハザードマップが作製されたが、山体崩壊は想定外となっている。小山教授は、過去の事例の分析から発生頻度を５０００年に１度とし、人口分布図とあわせ試算した。
この結果、東側に崩れると、同県御殿場市や周辺の河川沿いに住む約４０万人が被災するとした。また、北東側への崩壊で約３８万人、南西側で約１５万人が被災するとされた。
