東電社内で幻となった記者会見の準備が進められていた。原子力損害賠償法（原賠法）第３条の免責条項の適用を主張するための会見だ。
　昭和３６年につくられた原賠法は、民間の電力会社に原発事故の賠償について、無限責任を課している。だが、３条には「その損害が異常に巨大な天災地変または社会的動乱によって生じたものであるときは、この限りでない」という“ただし書き”がある。
　「賠償金がどのくらいになるのか見当もつかない。経営が立ちゆかなくなる」。危機感を強めた経営幹部や顧問弁護士は、いったん免責適用を求めることで合意した。

大地震・大津波にも耐えうるという前提・予測・主張だったが、実際は耐えられなかったし、世界の基準から見ても明らかな人災だった。
想定される問題点をわざと無視して、絶対安全だと強弁してきた責任は極めて重い。

あまり疲れたまま運転すると、こっくりと居眠りをしてしまいかねず、本人のみならず他人を巻き込んでしまう恐れもあり、たいへん危険です。
イギリスにはそういった運転者たちを心配し、疲労への注意を促す標識があります。
ところが長い運転中に居眠りをしてしまい、肝心のその標識にぶつかってしまったという事故が起きました。

とはいえ、なにかと睡魔に襲われるのが今の時期。
いくら寝ても寝足りないし、いくらでも寝れてしまう。
この眠気は寒さに慣れていた体（なかんづく脳！）が、交感神経・副交感神経の活動バランスを再調整するためだろう。

普通に薬局で買える眠気防止の薬があるようだ。
コーヒーやお茶はトイレへ行きたくなるから、運転する人はそっちのほうがいいかもしれない。

南カリフォルニアのボーカリストであるチャド・アレンは、１９６０年代、ザ・チャドンズと共にレコーディングを行った。
７０年代なかばのこのレコードでは娘のタミー、息子のランディと歌っており、編曲もチャド・アレン自身が担当している。

From Long Beach, California, Chad Allen appeared on the pop music scene in late 1961 with the recording of’Little Lonely’ b/w/’Domino’. First issued on Lama Records, a local Los Angeles label, it was quickly picked up by Smash/Mercury Records and distributed nationally as well as in Australia and Canada. An accomplished musician, vocalist, composer and vocal arranger, Chad would issue several more solo single releases on the Radiant and Chadon labels before he joined Tisha Cooper and Cindy Sees in 1963 performing and recording as the Chadons. When the group split about ten years later, Chad went back to performing solo before becoming a family act with his children as the Allens. This 1975 recording of the Felice and Boudleaux Bryant tune,’Wake Up Little Susie’ features the vocals of Chad, Tammy and Randy Allen. Recorded at Gold Star Studios in Hollywood where the majority of Chad’s recordings were born, Stan Ross engineered the session. After touring, performing and recording with his children for a while, Chad once again hit the road as a soloist before joining Gary Heath in 1982 as Chad and Gary. Today, Chad and Gary have traded the stage for retired life in the desert community of La Quinta, California where they are now visual artists and exhibit their hand painted Patio Umbrellas and Accessories through the La Quinta Arts Foundation.
