　韓国の李明博大統領は５日、同国の「こどもの日」の行事で小学生の質問に答え、北朝鮮は「（国際社会の）声を聞かない。言うことを聞かない子は悪い子じゃないか」と述べた。

　北朝鮮のウェブサイト「わが民族同士」は６日付の論評で、韓国の李明博大統領が小学生を相手に、北朝鮮を「悪い子」と批判したことを取り上げ、「子どもたちの純真な胸中に（北朝鮮への）敵対心を植え付けた」と反発した。

２００５年１１月、大韓民国の「江陵端午祭（朝鮮語： 강릉 단오제（강릉 단오제）、ローマ字転写： Gangneung Danoje）」がユネスコによる「人類の口承及び無形遺産の傑作」への認定を宣言された（第３回傑作宣言）。この事を受けて、端午祭の本家である中国のマスコミをはじめとする諸団体は「韓国起源の節句として無形文化遺産登録された」などと猛反発した。
韓国の報道では、実際には「端午の起源が韓国である」との主張は傑作宣言にも一覧表にも存在せず、また『韓国は「江陵端午祭」を申請した際、「もともとは中国の行事。韓国に伝わって１５００年以上が経過した」などと説明した。』としている。

朝鮮戦争もいつかは終わらせなければならない日が来るよ。
……あ、これつい先日も書いたっけね。

朝鮮戦争と聞くと二つの歌が思い浮かびます。
ひとつは『Don’t Let Me Cross Over』当時の邦題は『恋の３８度線』。

もうひとつは『When I Fall in Love』（恋に落ちた時）。
こちらはちょうど今、DaiwaHouse （大和ハウス工業）のＣＦで使われてます。

元は朝鮮戦争に取材した１９５２年の映画『One Minute to Zero』（零号作戦）の曲で、作曲はビクター・ヤング。
ヒット曲となったのは１９５６年の映画『Istanbul』（イスタンブール）の中でナット・キング・コールが歌ったことがきっかけでした。

The great Victor Young created the music of this much-recorded standard as part of his score for the 1952 film “One Minute To Zero” （mis-printed on the record label above） and then wrote this typically impeccable arrangement for the song’s initial commercial release. However, the only version to register on the Billboard charts that year was by Doris Day

This Victor Young-Edward Heyman ballad was first featured in the 1952 war film “One Minute To Zero,” which starred Robert Mitchum and Ann Blyth. While Doris’ version was not a major success for her, several subsequent recordings by various artists would eventually help define the tune as a modern standard.

Recorded by scores of artists since this Victor Young-Edward Heyman ballad was introduced in the 1952 war film “One Minute To Zero,” “When I Fall In Love” made its first appearance as a top-10 record hit in early 1962 with this Lettermen follow-up release to “The Way You Look Tonight.”
Stereo issues of “When I Fall In Love” have a rather differently-balanced mix, initially evident in the opening passage where the prominent piano is pushed well back.
