６月２０日 朝。
都心は台風一過で強い日差し。６時ごろはまだひんやりとした風が吹いてましたが、時間とともに気温が上がっていくのが肌で感じられます。
このまま夏が来そうな雰囲気さえありますね。

　台風４号は１９日午後５時すぎに和歌山県南部に上陸し、近畿や東海、首都圏を暴風域に巻き込みながら北東へ進んだ。６月の台風上陸は２００４年以来、８年ぶり。２０日には東北の東側へ抜け、温帯低気圧になる見込み。

This tune,’Monkey Jerk’, was composed by Dobie Gray and Jimmy Georgentonas and recorded at Hollywood’s Gold Star Recording Studios in February 1965. Produced by Fred Darian and arranged by Al De Lory, it would be released in May 1965 as the B-side to the fourth single of five that Dobie Gray issued on the Charger label as well as its inclusion on the Charger LP,’Dobie Gray Sings For In Crowders That Go Go’, also issued in May 1965. Engineered by Stan Ross with the flawless musical talents of L.A.’s’Wrecking Crew’ and backing vocals by Charles Ingersoll and Bobby Sanders of the Extremes, this multi-track session tape along with two others were discovered in October 2019 in New York from the estate of 1960’s L.A. record executive and owner of Thunderbird Records, Steve Brodie. On this recording of’Monkey Jerk’, it is the 3rd track with addition of handclaps, finger snaps and tambourine which curiously, would all be edited out on the final released version. Sounding crystal clear with the magical reverberation of the Gold Star echo chamber, the 56 year old Scotch recording tape sounds as impressive as if it were recorded today. A big thank you to engineer, Len Horowitz, at History of Recorded Sound in Culver City, California for performing the analog to digital transfer.

キング・コング誕生の起源を描くアドベンチャー大作『コング：スカル・アイランド（原題）』が、２０１７年３月２５日に公開されることが決定し、場面写真が２日、公開された。
”コング”は、美女を片手にエンパイア・ステート・ビルで大暴れした『キング・コング』（３３）以来、１９７６年（８６年には『２』も公開）のジョン・ギラーミン版、２００５年のピーター・ジャクソン版と３度映画化されており、日本の『ゴジラ』シリーズにも２度登場。本作では、これまで１度も語られてこなかった”コング”の起源を探る。
劇中では、神話の中だけと思われていた島の実在が判明。その地図に記載のない驚異と危険に満ちた”楽園”に遠征隊が派遣され、人間と自然との間で壮絶な闘いが展開される中、”コング”の驚くべき真実が明らかになっていく。
今回の映画にあたって、２０１４年に『ゴジラ』シリーズをリブートして世界的な成功を収めたレジェンダリー・ピクチャーズとワーナー・ブラザースが再タッグ。パワフルな人間ドラマで、大自然の真の”キング”を新たな視点で映し出す。
