　毎日新聞が１０日付茨城県版の県天然記念物を紹介する記事で、現地取材をしないまま、昨年９月の台風で折れて切り株状になっている桜の木を取り上げていたことが１２日、分かった。記事は「４月上旬から中旬にかけて見ごろ」「（現地は）花見客でにぎわっていた」などとしていた。１２日付県版に「写真と記事を削除します」との見出しでおわび記事を掲載した。

This track was also issued on Banner, Oriole, Perfect, and at least five other labels. The less commonly-seen “Mel-O-Dee” brand here is assumably related to the Mel-O-Dee Music Company, formed in New York in 1921, which was primarily a manufacturer of piano and automatic instrument rolls but did attach its name to a few commercial discs distributed for juke box play.

Four years earlier, Decca music director Gordon Jenkins had struck gold with the simple waltz tune “Goodnight Irene,” lushly-arranged for the folk-singing Weavers. In similar fashion, he produced this sentimental waltz for folk figure Burl Ives, though with less spectacular results. “True Love Goes On And On” peaked at #23 on the national singles chart （Cash Box） in the spring of ’54 and re-charted briefly in 1964.
The song was written by the team of Richard Adler and Jerry Ross, who had recently composed Tony Bennett’s #1 record “Rags To Riches” and would soon enthrall Broadway with their musical scores for “The Pajama Game” and “Damn Yankees.”

（Unreleased Associated Recording Studios acetate） One of the many songwriters demo acetates that feature the voices of husband and wife songwriting team, Jeff Barry and Ellie Greenwich. Actually, in the 1960’s Ellie was known as the’Demo Queen’ in New York City as she sang on hundreds of demo recordings that were composed by others, more notably Ben Raleigh and Mark Barkan along with those composed with Tony Powers, Phil Spector and the mother lode of songs she wrote with her husband Jeff Barry.’True True Love’ was a song that Jeff and Ellie wrote after their marriage had dissolved at the end of 1965. Amazingly, the couple would continue to compose and produce together for a while afterward as well as work individually and with others.’This Jeff and Ellie demo recorded at Associated Recording Studios in New York City and as expected, is really quite good and if it had been beefed up with a bit more instrumentation it could have been issued on its own. The sparse yet somewhat atmospheric backing track is somewhat similar to that of the Jeff Barry composed recording,’I’m Nobody’s Baby Now’ issued in April 1966 by Reparata & The Delrons. Alas,’True True Love’ would be handed off to vocalist Tony Pass which Jeff and Ellie produced in May 1966 and was ultimately issued in June that year as the flip to another Barry Greenwich tune,’Spring Fever’.

Recorded at Hollywood’s Gold Star Recording Studios in 1967, co composer, Don Bennett is also Mr. Big Don and Ethon McElroy is the co-composer and also the record labels namesake. Produced by Murray Cohen with George Fernandez at the recording console,’It Was True’ is a slick, brassy and soulful track with strings, heavy percussion and an effective dousing of Gold Star’s legendary echo.

「当面は問題はない」っていうけど、じゃぁ問題になるのはいつなのか、そのタイムリミットを言わないのは怖いな。

　伊勢市二見町江の二見興玉（ふたみおきたま）神社で十日、海に浮かぶ名所の夫婦岩周辺の潮が大きく引き、夫婦岩の全体の姿がすっぽりと現れた。干満の差が中ぐらいの中潮（なかしお）の時期に当たるが、神社に十三年ほど仕える神職は「夫婦岩がこんなに完全に海面から出るのは見たことがない」とびっくり。珍しいという。
　神社によると、干満の差が最大となる大潮のときでも通常、夫婦岩の男岩（おいわ）（高さ九メートル）と女岩（めいわ）（四メートル）のうち、男岩の最下部は海水に漬かっている。
　この日は少なくとも午後から、男岩のほか、周囲の岩礁もあらわになるほど潮が引いた。同様の光景は九日も見られた。
　第四管区海上保安本部（名古屋市）によると、計算上は潮位に異常はないという。津地方気象台によると、近くの鳥羽の十日の干潮時の潮位は予測値よりも若干低めだったが「それでも誤差の範囲内。気圧が潮位に影響を与えることもあるが、原因は分からない」と首をかしげている。

　テレビＣＭでもおなじみのネット上の仮想空間「アメーバピグ」が、思わぬ方向で「交流の場」として利用されていることが明らかになり、波紋が広がっている。
　仮想空間で「ピグ」と呼ばれる自分の分身（アバター）を操って楽しむサービスなのだが、別のピグとお互いに下着姿になった上で性的な言葉をぶつけ合う「バーチャル乱交」とも呼べる状態が横行している。

一般企業が続々「出店」するなど、あれほど盛り上がりを見せたオンライン仮想世界が失速したのは２００９年末のこと。
『「セカンドライフ」や「スプリューム」「ViZiMO」「ntomo」「meet-me」「ダレットワールド」「HiPiHi」「There」などの仮想世界（バーチャルワールド・メタバース・3Di）に特化したニュースを中心とする専門ポータルサイト』であったTHE SECOND TIMESが、ひっそりと幕を下ろしたのは２０１１年２月１５日。あたしゃ今日までそれに気づかなかった（笑 ―― しかし仮想世界構築の技術はオンラインゲームに受け継がれているから決してムダじゃなかったんだよね）

そんななかでアバターによるコミュニケーションという旧態依然のスタイルで唯一盛況なのが「アメーバピグ」だ。おそらくそのアバターが日本人好みの三頭身（いや頭のデカさで測れば１・５頭身か）だからじゃないかな？　要するに幼児の姿（昔風にいえば童子）ですよ。
イノセントな童子に神が宿るという信仰は、天・空・山・岩・森・樹木・水・滝などを神の依り代とする自然崇拝、さらには農耕民族ならではの多神教的世界観に、その源を求めることができるだろう。

これは前にも書いたけれども、日本の芸能界に未熟・未完成・無芸が多いのは、農耕民族特有の「育てる」ことに意義を見出す民族性によるところが大きいのではないか。小さい・弱い・幼いものを「カワイイ」と称して珍重するのも同じ理由。
ドラえもんやキティちゃんに好感を持つ人が多い国は、だから日本文化の良き理解者となる素地があるといえる。
狩猟民族においては即戦力とならぬ未熟者は役に立たないから評価されないし、獲物のほうも十分に肉と実を成熟させていないといけない。
韓国の芸能界が水準に達しないタレント・歌手・俳優を受け付けないのは、顔こそ似ているが彼らの本質が狩猟民族（時間をかけて育てるより、必要な物は狩る・奪う）のそれだからだろうと、私はそう思っている。
もっとも最近の日本人はガツガツと動物性たんぱく質を食うようになってきているので、今後徐々にではあるが民族的・文化的特質は薄れていくのではないだろうか。
