リニアは、超伝導磁石で車体を浮上させ“飛ぶ”新幹線。電気抵抗がゼロの技術にもかかわらず、消費電力は東海道新幹線の約３倍である。昨年の原発事故以降、節電の必要性が浸透しているなか、この事実はあまりアナウンスされていない。山梨県立大学の伊藤洋学長は、乗客ひとりを運ぶエネルギーをもとに「リニアには原発３～５基分の電力が必要」とまで推計する。
もちろん、ＪＲ東海がリニアのために原発を稼働させるべきと公に明言したことはない。だが、リニアと原発の関係は否定できない。というのは、山梨県のリニア実験線の主な電力供給元は東京電力・柏崎刈羽原発（新潟県）だからだ（昨年秋から、実験線の延伸工事のため走行実験は休止中）。
そして、原発とリニアの関連性を裏付けるかのような発言も飛び出している。昨年５月１４日、静岡県の浜岡原発が運転停止したわずか１０日後に産経新聞に掲載された、ＪＲ東海・葛西敬之会長の「原発継続しか活路はない」と題した談話だ。

梁振英行政長官は８日、導入するかどうかの判断を各学校に任せる方針を示し、「学校主導の考えに沿った決定だ」と強調した。
問題の科目は「道徳・国民教育」。政府がパンフレットで紹介した教材は、中国共産党を「進歩的で無私無欲、団結が固い」と称賛し、複数政党制は米国のケースのように国家に災いをもたらすと主張していた。教材では１９８９年の天安門事件をはじめとする中国史上の大事件を取り上げられていないとして、批判を呼んでいた。
現地では、住民らが「子どもたちの洗脳だ」と強く反発し、数千人規模のデモも起きていた。

利害に関わる所属集団を鑽仰すれば、うぬぼれ・自己愛・自己正当化・自賛・自尊・独善・傲慢・驕慢・排他・毀他の傾向が強まるのは必定。
支配者の思う壺だろう。
それより人間（一個人）としての矜恃、誇り高き生き方を教えるべき。
「愛」というなら国家ではなく「愛 地球」「愛 人間」の基本をしっかり教育することが肝要ではないか。

中国の次期指導者とされる習近平国家副主席が５日、訪中した米国のクリントン国務長官との会談を取りやめたことで、同副主席の現状について、さまざまな憶測が飛び交っている。「暗殺未遂説」も出た。習副主席は９月１日以来、公式の場に姿を現していないとされる。
中国政府・外交部の洪磊報道官は５日の定例記者会見で、クリントン長官との会談をとりやめたことについて、「日程調整の都合」と説明した。しかし、国家首脳の会談が「日程調整」を理由に急遽（きゅうきょ）取りやめになることは、通常では考えられない。外交部は定例記者会見の様子をホームページで公開しているが、習・クリントン会談の取り消しに関連する部分は掲載されなかった。
習副主席は、同日予定していたシンガポールのリー・シェンロン首相との会談もキャンセルした。
習副主席の予定変更については、米メディアが中国政府筋からの情報として、「水泳中に背中を負傷した」などと報じた。
その後、海外に拠点を置く反政府系の中国語メディアや東南アジアの一部メディアは「暗殺未遂があったとの説がある」などと報じ始めた。高級幹部専用の北京３０１医院（病院）に搬送されたとの見方が紹介された。

今のところウルムチ虐殺事件の責任者、天皇との会見を親中派小沢一郎を使ってゴリ押しした男、というイメージがあるのみだが、中国国内では敵が多そうだ。

中国の王岐山副首相は１０日、訪中したデンマークのトーニングシュミット首相と北京で会談した。当初、次期国家主席に内定している習近平国家副主席が会談する予定だったが、変更された。
習氏は５日、クリントン米国務長官との会談を急きょ取りやめ、米紙は「背中の負傷」が原因と報道。会談が再びキャンセルされたことで負傷説の信ぴょう性が増しそうだ。

９月１２日には、中国で放送されているＮＨＫ国際放送のニュース番組で、習氏の動静に関する内容の場面で突然画面が真っ暗になり、視聴できなくなった。ミニブログ「微博」では、習氏の名前での検索が不可能になったり、習氏の動向を話題にしようとした投稿がすぐに削除されたりしたとの報告もあった。
９月１３日になると、中国側の状況はやや変化した。中国国営メディアが習氏の動向について触れ、６日に亡くなった共産党の老幹部に対して「いろいろな形で哀悼の意を示した」と報じたのだ。元朝日新聞編集委員で同志社大学教授の加藤千洋氏はＪ―ＣＡＳＴニュースの取材に、この種の動静の伝え方は「常とう手段」と説明する。
加藤氏はこの「追悼」のニュースについて、習氏が胡錦濤国家主席に次ぐ序列第２位で報じられた点に触れ、習氏が生存していると同時に失脚していないことを示すものだと指摘した。

中国の次期最高指導者に内定している習近平・国家副主席（５９）が１５日、北京の中国農業大学で行われたイベントに出席し、約２週間ぶりに公の場に姿を見せた。新華社など国営メディアが伝えた。
新華社が、習副主席が同日朝に中国農業大に到着した様子を伝えたほか、国営テレビも夜のニュース番組で、習副主席が学生や子どもたちと元気そうに談笑している姿を伝えた。
ただ、習副主席が長いこと姿を見せていなかった理由については、どの報道も触れていない。

中国の習近平国家副主席（中央軍事委員会副主席）は１９日、訪中しているパネッタ米国防長官と会談し、米中の軍事交流拡大や日中両国が対立する沖縄県・尖閣諸島問題などをめぐり協議した。新華社電などによると、習氏は日本政府の尖閣国有化について「ばかげたことだ」と述べ、米国が介入しないよう要求した。
習氏は「日本の一部政治勢力が隣国との領土紛争を激化させた」と日本政府を強く非難。「戦後の国際秩序に挑戦する日本の振る舞いを国際社会は絶対に許さない」と訴えた。
パネッタ長官は「領土紛争に対し特定の立場を取らない」との原則を伝えた上で、日中両国が挑発的な行動を取らないよう自制を求め、平和的な解決方法を模索するよう改めて要請した。
