フランス人アーティスト、ビルジル・ノバリナさんが２１日、ショーウインドーの中で人目にさらされながら６日間にわたって寝るというイベントを始めた。
ノバリナさんは首都パリの道路にあるショーウインドーで、真っ赤な布団を敷いてただ眠り続ける。外からは丸見えの状態で、何事かと足を止める人の姿も見られた。
公衆の面前で寝顔をさらけ出すこのイベントは、２１─２６日の午前９時─午後６時まで行われている。ノバリナさんは２００６年以降、ギャラリーや美術館でもこうしたパフォーマンスをしてきた。

演出家の蜷川幸雄さん（７７）が率いる平均年齢７４歳の劇団「さいたまゴールド・シアター」が、５月３０日～６月１日、フランス・パリで初の海外公演を行うことになった。
蜷川さんが５５歳以上の男女１０００人以上にオーディションを行い、選ばれた４８人で劇団が結成されたのは２００６年のこと。以来、彩の国さいたま芸術劇場（さいたま市中央区）を拠点に、「船上のピクニック」「ルート９９」など話題作を次々に上演、好評を博してきた。現在は元教師やアナウンサーなど様々な経歴を持つ６２～８７歳の４１人が団員として参加している。

演目は劇作家の清水邦夫さん（７６）作で、１９７１年に蜷川さんの演出で初演された「鴉よ、おれたちは弾丸（たま）をこめる」。チャリティーショーの爆破を企てた罪で裁判にかけられた孫を救うため、おばあちゃんたちが爆弾や三味線を手に裁判所に乗り込み、逆に検事らを裁判にかけるという一風変わったストーリーだ。０６年の劇団の試演会で披露したもので、見る者の心に響く作品という。

空爆の対象となったのは、首都バマコの北４００キロの町ディアバリ。現地の民間人の男性は「住民は逃げだそうと必死になっている」と語った。同町への空爆は１４日から続いている。

パリの観光名所エッフェル塔で３０日夜、爆破予告の電話があり、一時約１４００人の観光客らが避難する騒ぎがあった。フランスメディアが伝えた。
警察に、同日午後９時半にエッフェル塔を爆破するという匿名の電話があった。パリ郊外の公衆電話からかけられていた。
警察当局は午後７時半ごろ塔周辺を封鎖、爆発物などを捜索したが何も見つからず、午後１０時半ごろに封鎖を解除した。
