The Addams Family Intro Theme Song 1964 – 1966

Fiends – Main Theme The Addams Family (Thank You, Thing)(1964/12)
冒頭、女性の不気味な笑い声。

Out of Los Angeles, with the success of ABC-T.V.’s weekly adventures of the frightfully freaky characters known as the ADDAMS FAMILY, the money making marketing train wasted no time in barreling down the tracks. items such as board games, dolls and recorded product glorifying the odd clan hit the streets instantly. Ted Cassidy who portrayed the butler,’Lurch’, issued a single with a color picture sleeve on the Capitol label and promoted it by appearing on the popular music show,’Shindig!’. Various versions of the infectious theme song written by Vic Mizzy were quickly recorded and released and among them, this west coast offering under the direction of Sonny Bono. Recorded at Hollywood’s Gold Star Studios in January 1965, L.A.’s’Wrecking Crew’ provided the musical backing complete with finger snaps, a tinkling harpsicord in honor of Lurch and shrieking, cackling, grunting voices throughout. Issued on Gene Norman’s Crescendo label, the disc had all of the makings of a spot-on and timely novelty hit but unfortunately, the disc came and went without a trace.

Kelly Garrett – This Heart Is Haunted(1964/03)

Out of Los Angleles, this 1964 release is the second of two that 20 year old Kelly Garrett would issue on Fred Astaire’s Ava Records. The tune, written by Billy Page and arranged by his brother Gene Page, is a huge, orchestrated piece of musical drama that even incorporates the banging of a gong.
Miss Garrett passed away due to complications from throat and tongue cancer on August 7, 2013.
