県選挙管理委員会は２９日、１２月１６日の衆院選投票日の周知と投票を呼びかける啓発ポスターを作製し、印刷を始めた。若者の投票率を高めようと、１０年知事選と１１年県議選に次いで「萌（も）えキャラ」を採用。計１万１１４０枚刷り、公示日の４日から公共施設やスーパーなどでＰＲする。
県選管によると、前回の０９年衆院選の県内投票率は７２・８２％で、２０代は４６・６７％と低迷。このため、若者に人気の「萌えキャラ」を採用し、知事選と県議選の啓発ポスターで「福島未来（みらい）」という架空の女性県職員を登場させた。

神戸市中央区港島２のポートアイランド北公園の岸壁で２９日未明、海に転落した乗用車の後部座席で発見された韓国籍の宋明浩（そう・あきひろ）さん（５２）＝大阪府八尾市本町６＝が死亡した事件で、兵庫県警捜査１課は３０日未明、宋さんは腹部を銃で撃たれており、死因は水死だったと発表した。捜査１課は殺人事件と断定し、神戸水上署に捜査本部を設置した。
捜査本部によると、司法解剖の結果、宋さんの腹部から銃弾が見つかったほか、鼻や肋骨（ろっこつ）が折れ、顔などに複数の打撲痕があった。粘着テープで両手が縛られ、口が覆われていた。衣服は着ていたが、素足だったという。捜査本部は、宋さんは激しい暴行を受けた後、海に転落した車内で死亡したとみて、周辺でトラブルがなかったか調べている。
