炉内は冷却できていない
福島第一原発２号機では、昨年末から温度計が炉内温度の上昇を計測している。１００℃以上を計測した圧力容器底部の温度計については、東京電力が「故障している」と発表したが、容器上部にある温度計でも温度上昇が止まらない。
１４日深夜に８０℃台を計測した時点まで、上昇ペースは緩やかだったが、その後急上昇に転じ、１６日午前には１２０℃を超えた。
７日の時点で１７０℃を超えた圧力容器底部にある温度計については、東電が「故障」と認定。その後は補正した温度が発表されているが、補正後の動向は上部温度計の上昇と合致しており、「正常に働いている」と考える方が自然だ。
東電では、温度計を故障と認定する条件として、「極端な温度上昇」や「直流抵抗測定値の増加」をあげている。圧力容器内の温度が上がれば、「故障」と認定される可能性が高く、同社の説明は信用できない、指摘する声も高い。ヨウ素・セシウムが気体として流出
温度上昇が臨界によるものかどうかは不明だが、冷却しきれず、温度が上昇しているだけでも、今後大きな危険が予想される。
放射性物質が気化すれば、周辺環境はもちろん、東北や関東にまで流出する可能性があるためだ。ヨウ素は１８４℃で、セシウムは６８０℃で固体から気体に変わる。

２１日に行われたオバマ米大統領の２期目の就任式で人気歌手ビヨンセが行った国歌斉唱は「実際には歌っておらず、口パクだった」と英タイムズ紙が報じ、物議を醸している。

ユーチューブの映像ではビヨンセが口バクか実際に歌っているかは判定は不可能だ。大きなマイクで彼女の口がよく見えないためである。
米国歌は歌うには難しいことでは有名で、物議を醸すのは大きな公式行事での「生」で歌われる時だ。口パク疑惑は目新しいものではなく、１９９１年のスーパーボウルでホイットニー・ヒューストンも事前に録音された歌声だったと伝えられた。

好戦的な国歌も嫌だが、自己讃美の国歌も恥知らずな感じで悪い印象。
アメリカのテレビでは１９７０年ごろまで歌手の口パクは当り前だった。歌手どころかバンドまでテープに合わせて演奏するふりをしていた。それだけポップミュージックは軽視されていたというか、お手軽な存在とみなされていた。
日本ではフルバンドで伴奏させる歌番組が多かったように記憶している。バンドの方も気位が高くてぽっと出のジャリタレの伴奏を嫌がっていた。スマイリー小原とスカイライナーズあたりはロックンロールやポップスへの対応に柔軟で、他の名門ビッグバンドがそれに追随した形だった。
振り付けの激しい歌は今でも口パクが普通だ。
レコードと実演の音・声にあまりに差が出る場合はどうしても口パクということになる。フォークルが『帰って来たヨッパライ』をテレビで歌った時、その技術的問題が意識されたのを今でもよく覚えている。ビートルズがスタジオでしか作れない音でヒットを連発するようになり、ライブ活動から撤退した時期が、やはり転換点だったのかもしれない。
