　５時２２分頃、千葉県東方沖震源とするやや強い地震がありました。千葉北東部で震度４を観測しました。震源の深さはおよそ６０キロ、地震の規模を示すマグニチュードは５．５と推定されます。この地震による津波の心配はありません。

どういうわけかその時間の少し前に目覚めておりましたよ。
東京では震度３ですか。４は行ってると思ったけど。
東北の太平洋沖から埼玉・群馬・千葉あたりまで震源域が下がってきた感じで、東京、神奈川、静岡も うかうか してられませんね。
連休前というのに何だかヤバいムードが漂ってます。

This lovely Frank Loesser-Jimmy McHugh ballad from RKO’s “Seven Days’ Leave” was performed on-screen by Ginny Simms, backed by Freddy Martin’s orchestra. Kay Kyser’s version of “Can’t Get Out Of This Mood” was the most popular with record buyers, though this Ayres treatment is also a beauty, produced only hours before the start of the long and damaging “Recording Ban” （musicians’ union strike against the record companies）.

Between the low-gain mastering and Columbia’s mediocre wartime shellac, good clean copies of this one aren’t commonly found….but like its better-known flipside “Can’t Get Out Of This Mood”, it’s a pretty one worth hearing. Vocals by Harry, Julie, Trudy, etc.

Featuring a riff which had previously appeared in several differently-titled instrumental recordings by various artists, this Joe Garland arrangement was the first to be issued under the title “In The Mood.” 17 months after this session, Glenn Miller would record his famous version, though without some of the melodic elements included in this earlier arrangement.

今月２２日に山口県和木町の化学工場で起きた爆発火災で、重さ６トンもの破片が現場から７００メートル離れた場所に落ちていたことが分かりました。
　見つかった破片は爆発したプラントの一部とみられ、直径６メートル、重さ６トンです。近所の住民が現場からおよそ７００メートル離れた川の中で見つけました。
　爆発火災は、今月２２日未明、山口県和木町の三井化学岩国大竹工場で起きたもので、１人が死亡、２２人がけがをしました。

この破片が人に当たる確率は、北朝鮮ミサイルの破片が当たるより、高かったんじゃないかな。
そういや先日は巨大トレーラーが竜巻に巻き上げられて宙を飛んでるアメリカの映像をやってましたっけね。
巨大で重たいロケットやジェット機が宙を飛ぶのも考えてみれば、実にアメージングです。
