Miss L.L. Louise Lewis – The Monsters’ Bride(1962)
aka Louise Lewis
演奏をバックにした語り。

One of about dozen singles issued by Louise Lewis on the Skyway label between 1961 and 1976.’ The Monster’s Bride’ is a clever novelty outing that really never saw the light of day as did none of the other singles on the label for that matter. Recorded in studio’A’ at Hollywood’s legendary Gold Star Studios with members of the’Wrecking Crew’, a thumping backing track with odd percussion and echo surround Miss Lewis’ lead vocals which are more of a narration than any kind of singing.’Miss L.L.’, as she is credited on some of her singles, was also the composer of many of the tunes she recorded with Skyway Records and the subsidiary label, Red Fox records. It appears that two lone discs, (Skyway records 143 & 144) are quite collectible and demand stacks of $$$ when and if a copy of either surfaces and is offered for sale. Collectors of soul and Motown-styled recordings, remember keep an eye out for the Skyway Records titles,’Oo Wee Let It Be Me Babe’ by Karl Evans and’Wee Oo I’ll Let It Be You Babe’ by Louise Lewis, Miss L. L. Both are quality, obscure L.A. soul at it’s finest.

After Dick Clark requested that Zacherle record a different and less-gory version of ‘Drac’ for play on American Bandstand, that new track replaced “Igor” on the 45 and was designated as “Dinner With Drac Part 2”

“Monday, September 27, the Cool Ghoul turned 92.
I was able to interview him briefly before the celebration started.
‘I can’t remember when I’ve ever felt this young before,’ says the Cool Ghoul as he downed a bottle of Zacherley’s Best, a special home brew made by family Gypsies in Zach’s homeland of Vesaria.
Zach then popped open a can of Frankenstein’s Nuts and offered me a few. He was getting ready for his big party located somewhere in the dark swamps of New Jersey.
‘I can’t tell you where, because no normal human is allowed to go there,’ he says with a mischievous smile.
‘The last time I was 92 it felt different!’ Zach tells me about the reverse aging potion he drank by mistake a few decades ago.
‘Back then I was 144 years old. I had some bursitis and whipped up a potion to ease the pain. The next thing I knew I was starting to get younger.’
Zach plans to party all night and return in time for Chiller Theatre over Halloween weekend.”
