県は２日、郡山市の旧富久山町と大玉村の旧玉井村の農家２軒が生産したもち米「こがねもち」から基準値（１キロあたり１００ベクレル）を超える放射性セシウムが検出されたと発表した。今年産米で基準値を超えたのは、１日の福島市の旧平田村のケースに続いて３、４例目。
郡山市の農家が生産した５５袋のうち、全袋検査で高い放射線量を示したのは８袋。すべてもち米で、残りの４７袋はコシヒカリだった。その後、８袋を詳細検査したところ、１袋から１２０ベクレルの放射性セシウムが検出された。
一方、大玉村では農家が自家用に生産したもち米６袋すべてを詳細検査。すべての袋から基準値を超える２７０～２８０ベクレルの放射性セシウムが検出された。もち米からの検出が続いた理由について県は「現段階で原因は不明」としている。

東京電力は２日、福島第一原発の港湾内で採ったマアナゴから放射性セシウムが１キロあたり１万５５００ベクレル検出されたと発表した。１０月１０日に採取した。港湾内の魚介類の調査結果を公表したのは初めて。
港湾内では、他にエゾイソアイナメが１キロあたり４２００ベクレル、クロソイ２匹がそれぞれ同２２３０ベクレル、同１７６０ベクレルと、いずれも食品基準の１０倍を超える高い放射能レベルだった。

新潟県は５日、市町村や猟友会などを通し、県内で捕獲されたツキノワグマの肉の出荷を当分の間、行わないようにクマの捕獲者らに要請した。
魚沼市と十日町市で捕獲されたクマの肉をそれぞれ５月１４日と１０月２９日に検査した結果、放射性セシウムが食品衛生法の基準（１キログラム当たり１００ベクレル）を超える１３４ベクレルと７６０グラム検出。国から出荷制限の指示が出た。

小山町と御殿場市で採取された野生キノコから食品衛生法の基準値（１キロ・グラム当たり１００ベクレル）を超える放射性セシウムが検出された問題で、政府は５日、原子力災害対策特別措置法に基づき、２市町で採取された野生キノコの出荷停止を県に指示した。県によると、県産品に対する同法の出荷停止指示は初めて。
指示を受けた県は、２市町に出荷停止を要請する。小山町では野生キノコ「ユキワリ」から、御殿場市では「キハツタケ」「ツバフウセンタケ」「アカモミタケ」から、基準値超のセシウムが検出されているが、流通の実態は把握できていないという。

全国各地のバス停を英語や中国語、韓国語の表示にするのに、震災の復興予算が使われていることが２０１２年１１月６日までに分かった。「復興と関係が薄い」という批判が出ている。
報道によると、観光庁が、震災で減少した外国人観光客を呼び戻し復興につなげようと、予算８億円を使った。しかし、外国語表示にした２６地域のうち、被災地は３か所だけだった。駅の案内板も英語などの表示にしたり、バスに表示が出る車内モニターをつけたりもしていた。

吉野家ホールディングスは丼物のご飯の盛り付けを機械化し、店舗作業の効率化を進めていくと２０１２年１１月６日、日本経済新聞が報じた。吉野家はご飯を自動で盛り付ける機械をすでに２０１２年７月から導入、２０１３年２月までに全店舗の８割以上に拡大する予定だ。
吉野家はＢＳＥ問題をきっかけに牛丼以外にメニューが多様化したため、正確にすばやく盛り付けるのが難しくなっていた。機械を使用した場合、どんぶり１杯あたりの盛り付け時間は２・４秒。１店舗で１日あたり計２０分近くの時間短縮になる試算だという。
また従来は、新入社員やアルバイトがご飯を規定量で規定時間内に盛り付けれるようになるまで１年以上かかっていたが、機械の導入によって従業員の指導時の負担軽減も期待されている。

将来はおそらく、キャッシュカード等をかざすと、コンビニ弁当のように１膳分ずつパックされた冷凍牛丼が自動解凍され、客の前へ出てくるみたいなことになるでしょう。
実際、ファストフードやファミレスのように商品の均質性こそが求められる場合はそのほうがいいに決まってます。
重要なことは利益をちゃんと再分配し、社会に還元される形にもってけるかどうかですね。

防犯カメラではVTRを回しっぱなしにすると膨大な記憶容量が必要となるため数秒～数分間隔で静止画を記録するタイムラプスVTRが使われているという。
これはどうやら定点観測の手法、あるいはアニメーションの撮影技法が元になっているように思われる。
この方法を使うと人や車など移動するものを消して無人の街を作れるのだそうだ。実際の映像を以下のリンク先で見ると、これがかなり面白い。てゆーかフシギ。
サンフランシスコもニューヨークも実に魅力的な街並み。人や車がいなくなることでそれがハッキリ分かる。

２０１２年１１月７日、福島県南相馬市は「自家消費の食品等放射能簡易分析結果１０月分」を発表した。
同調査で自家消費分として持ち込まれたマツタケから１キログラム当たり２万５５５０ベクレルの放射性セシウムが検出されたことが明らかとなった。
野生キノコではこれまでの計測中３位となる放射能汚染レベルである。１位：栃木県日光市 チチタケ（同３万１,０００ベクレル）
２位：福島県棚倉町 チチタケ（同２万８,０００ベクレル）
３位：福島県南相馬市 マツタケ（同２万５,５００ベクレル）
（参考：厚生労働省）１万ベクレル超え食品続出
この他にもマツタケでは同１万３,５４０ベクレル、イノシシ肉では同１万９８０ベクレル、ウラベニホテイシメジが同１万３１０ベクレルの放射性セシウムを検出した。
１万ベクレルを超えた食品が５点となった。イノシシの１万９８０ベクレルは野生鳥獣では最高記録ではないかと思われる。

２３日午後６時２５分ごろ、札幌市東区中沼町の廃棄物処理施設「中沼資源選別センター」で、作業員が「ごみの分別中に人の左腕を発見した」と１１０番した。左腕は腐敗が進み、一部白骨化しており、北海道警札幌東署は司法解剖し、詳しい状況を調べる。
道警によると、左腕はペットボトルなどの資源ごみが流れるベルトコンベヤー上で発見された。

市内の住民が２４日、「ごみ集積所の近くにあったので、腕とは気付かずに捨てた」と北海道警に申告していたことが分かった。他にもごみ集積所付近で「腕のような物を見た」など複数の目撃情報があり、道警は詳しい経緯を確認している。
道警によると、腕に人為的に切断した形跡はなく動物にかまれたような痕があった。動物が遺体の一部を運んだ可能性もあるとみて、周辺地域で行方不明者がいないか調べている。
