1990年の東西ドイツ統一から20年となる3日、北西部のブレーメンで記念式典が開かれた。式典ではパレードやコンサートを開催。統一時からの課題だった東西格差に改善の兆しが見え始める中、ドイツは祝賀ムードに包まれている。

２００９年１１月９日がベルリンの壁崩壊から２０年、今年２０１０年の１０月３日がドイツ再統一から２０年。

東ドイツは共産主義でしたからソ連の崩壊とともに統一できましたが、北朝鮮は共産主義でさえなく、軍が金日成―金正日というカリスマを担いで私腹を肥やしている三流ファッショ国家なので、これがなかなか倒れません。
「ソウルを火の海にする」と言ったその舌の根も乾かぬうちに赤十字を通じて韓国に「米をよこせ」といい、「量が少ない」といって逆切れする、ほとんど狂人の域。
その北朝鮮を唯一バックアップしてるのが中国。こちらも共産主義ではなく、中共という利害集団が強権支配している、一種の貴族支配のファッショ国家です。
傲慢、独善、凶暴といった夜郎自大なお国柄は両国共通しておりますね。
２１世紀にもなって、まだこんな状態じゃ、いけませんねぇ。
ゴルバチョフのような人物が中国に現れるのを期待するのは、高望みに過ぎるんでしょうか。

ベルリン封鎖（ベルリンふうさ、ドイツ語: Berlin Blockade）は、第二次世界大戦終結後の１９４８年６月、ソビエト連邦政府が西ベルリンに向かう全ての鉄道と道路を封鎖した事件であり、冷戦初期を象徴する事件である。

冷戦状態はこの後も長引き、米英仏は統一ドイツ建設の試みをあきらめた。１９４９年５月にドイツ連邦共和国（西ドイツ）が、１０月にドイツ民主共和国（東ドイツ）がそれぞれ建国されるが、東ドイツは自国民の西ベルリンへの脱走を防止するため、１９６１年８月にベルリンの壁を建設した。

１９６１年８月１３日０時、東ドイツ政府は東西ベルリン間６８の道すべてを遮断し、有刺鉄線で、最初の「壁」の建設を開始した。６時までに東西間の通行はほとんど不可能になり、有刺鉄線による壁は１３時までにほぼ建設が完了した。２日後には石造りの壁の建設が開始された。
東ドイツは当時、この壁は西側からの軍事的な攻撃を防ぐためのものであると主張し、対ファシスト防壁 (Antifaschistischer Schutzwall) とも呼んでいた。これは名目で、実際には東ドイツ国民が西ベルリンを経由して西ドイツへ流出するのを防ぐためのものであり、「封鎖」対象は西ベルリンではなく東ドイツ国民をはじめとした東側陣営に住む人々であった。壁は、後に数度作り変えられ、１９７５年に完成した最終期のものはコンクリートでできていた。壁の総延長は１５５kmに達した。
映像などを通じて広く知られている西ベルリンに面した壁に加え、東ドイツ側にもう一枚同様のコンクリート壁があった。すなわち、西ベルリンは二重の壁で囲まれていたのである。その２枚の壁の間は数十メートルの無人地帯となっており、東ドイツ当局の監視のもと壁を越えようとするものがいればすぐに分かるようになっていた。
また無人地帯に番犬を放したり、コンクリート壁の上部を蒲鉾型に膨らませて乗り越えにくくしたりという工夫もなされていた。さらに自動車による強行突破に備えて、要所要所にロードブロックや堀も設けられた。

Today marks the anniversary of the tearing down of the Berlin wall in 1989. British Movietone reported on its controversial construction in 1961.
The Friedrichstrasse crossing-point is one of the places where East Berliners have been building yet another wall. It is an extension of the concrete wall, really, about 6 feet high and 3 feet thick. They left a small gap in it, near the American check-point “Charlie”. Protests against all these new barriers have been made in vain.

On this day in 1963, President John F. Kennedy spoke in Berlin. Here is a British Movietone report from his famous “Ich bin ein Berliner” speech.
“I am proud to come to this city as the guest of your distinguished Mayor who has symbolized throughout the world the fighting spirit of West Berlin. Two thousand years ago the proudest boast was quivest romanius somum, today the proudest boast is Ich Bein Ein Berliner. There are many people in the world who really don’t understand, or say they don’t, what is the great issue between the free world and the communist world. Let them come to Berlin. There are some who see all communism as the wave of the future, let them come to Berlin. There are some who say, in Europe and elsewhere, we can work with the communists, let them come to Berlin.” “Freedom has many difficulties and democracy is not perfect, but we have never had to put a wall up to keep our people in, to prevent them from leaving us. Real lasting peace in Europe can never be assured as long as one German out of four is denied the elementary right of free men and that is to make a free choice. In eighteen years of peace and good faith this generation of Germans has earned the right to be free, including the right to unite their families, their nation in lasting peace with goodwill to all men.”

On this day in 1945, the Eight Air Force bombed Berlin. Here is a British Movietone report on how Berlin was a few years earlier in the 1930s before Berlin became the most bombed city in the world.
