大阪府吹田市が、日本で初めて計画的につくられた大規模団地「千里ニュータウン」、高度経済成長期の象徴ともいえる「万博記念公園」、「太陽の塔」の３点セットで世界遺産登録を目指すことが２５日、分かった。市は専門家、市民らによる準備委員会を年内にも立ち上げ、登録に向けた準備をはじめる方針。ただ、世界遺産は国内ですでに「登録待ち」の暫定リストが１４件あり、文化庁は「新規申請を受け付け予定はない」と厳しい状況だ。

日本人にはいい思い出ですが、だからといって世界共通の遺産に指定させようだなんて、発想が韓国や中国みたいですよ。謙虚さを失ってはいけません。
私は耐用できるうちはメンテナンスして保たせればいい。それだけで十分だと思います。
ごみのリサイクル技術として注目されたごみ固形化燃料（ＲＤＦ）を作るために全国の自治体が運営する５０施設のうち、半数以上の２６施設が、代金を支出してＲＤＦを工場などに引き取ってもらっていることが、会計検査院の調査で分かった。
燃料としての品質が低く売却できないことが原因で、ＲＤＦの生成にかかる費用も一般的なごみ焼却の倍以上となっており、多くの自治体はＲＤＦを作れば作るほど財政負担を増やしている。稼働を休止した施設もある。

公明・坂口氏、引退意向を撤回＝執行部が活動継続要請

公明党の坂口力元厚生労働相（76）＝衆院比例代表東海ブロック＝が衆院議員を辞職する意向を撤回していたことが7日、分かった。
坂口氏は健康問題を理由に、7月の参院選後に議員辞職し、政界を引退する考えを執行部に伝えていた。
しかし、同党の山口那津男代表は先月29日、党本部で坂口氏と会談し
「参院選マニフェスト（政権公約）で掲げた社会保障政策を具体化するプロジェクトチームの中心となって働いてもらいたい」と、
議員活動を当面続けるよう要請。坂口氏も受け入れた。

行き詰まりを打開するため、ＣＯＰ１０議長・松本環境相の要請で２３、２４日も非公式協議を行ったが、先進国と途上国の対立はむしろ深まり、２９日の最終日まで厳しい交渉が続きそうだ。
全体会合では、非公式協議のティモシー・ホッジス共同議長が「我々は決定的な局面を迎えている。もっと時間が必要だ。改めて妥協の精神をもって臨んでほしい」と訴え、非公式協議延長を提案、了承された。

理化学研究所の角田達彦チームリーダーらは、日本人のゲノム（全遺伝情報）を初めて解読した。

本州に住む日本人男性のゲノムを、米国製の高速解析装置で約５か月かけて解析した。
得られたデータの９９％以上は、過去に解析した標準的なヒトゲノム配列と一致した。ただ、配列中に見られる塩基一つの違い（スニップ）を約３１３万個検出し、そのうち約３９万６０００個は新発見だった。

ゲノム解析は新薬開発というビッグビジネスと結びついているため、各国が力を入れてます。
新薬開発はいうなれば諸刃の剣（もろはのつるぎ）でして、人類を救うこともできれば、全滅させることだってできる、そういう研究ですね。当然、病気を作って流布し、高額な薬を売りつけるという高等戦術も可能です。
映画やテレビゲームの世界ではとっくの昔にそういうことが起きている。ですからなおのことプロジェクトの指導者、携わっている人間、出資者たちのモラルが問われるんです。
人類もとうとうこういうとこまで来ちゃったなぁと、歴史好きな私としては少々嘆息交じりの感慨を禁じえません。
遺伝子情報は劣化はしても単独では進化しないでしょうから、いわゆる人間のパーソナリティは遺伝子情報と、それによって形成された肉体、とりわけ脳に蓄積された後天的な情報と変化などが相俟ってできていると考えられます。医学的、科学的に普通に考えれば、肉体を離れてパーソナリティや個別性は存在し得ないわけで、死後も目に見えないモヤモヤした存在（霊）で個別性が継続してほしいと考えるのは気持としては分りますが、所詮ファンタジーというしかない。
インドに生まれた釈迦は死後の個別性の継続あるいは輪廻転生を、肯定したのか否定したのか、実のところ断定できないそうで、「死後のことは証明できないのだから語るべきではない」と質問を制したとも云われております。
確かにこれは証明不可能ですね。
分らないことは分らない、永遠のペンディング、としておくのが大人の知恵というもんでしょう。
