今月に入り、各地で茶葉から基準を超える放射性物質が検出されている。いずれも出荷は自粛されているが、いまだに原子力災害対策特別措置法に基づく出荷停止措置は出ていない。どの段階で出荷停止にするか政府の方針が定まらないからだ。食品の暫定基準値は、お茶などの加工食品を想定しておらず、生産者側に立つ農林水産省と消費者側に立つ厚生労働省で見解が対立、調整が難航している。

国際結婚が破綻して、一方の親が他方の親に無断で子どもを自国に連れ去り、親たちがその子を奪い合う。
国境をまたいだ、そんな争いを解決する国際ルールを定めた「ハーグ条約」に日本も加盟することになった。政府が条約加盟に必要な関連国内法の整備方針をきのう、閣議了解した。
国際結婚の増加で、外国人男性と離婚した日本人女性が子どもを日本に連れ帰ってトラブルになる事例が後を絶たず、米国や欧州諸国から条約への早期加盟を迫られていた。

女性はその時々の感情を優先させて行動する傾向が強いので、相手の国の国民性・生活感情・常識・慣習・法律などを理解しないまま海外渡航や国際結婚をすることが多いですね。

世界の科学者らでつくる国連「気候変動に関する政府間パネル（ＩＰＣＣ）」は、アジアの大半の国で気温の上昇と降雨量が変化し、今後著しく農作物の生産性が悪化、飢餓の危険性が増大すると予測しています。
今年４月、首都バンコクで、ポスト京都のルールを決める国連交渉会議が開催されました。その際に飢餓と貧困に苦しむバンコクのスラム街の人々が、食べないでためた５００バーツ（１５００円）を「日本の被災者に届けてほしい」と日本大使館員に手渡していました。日本は一人ではない、世界あっての日本と実感します。

この日本にも貧困が蔓延し始めております。
働こうにも職がなく、生活保護も拒否されて、自殺もしきれず餓死したなんて人が出て来ている。ただごとではありません。
そうでなくとも、異常気象で農作物の生産が落ちれば、当然、生鮮食料品・加工食品・料理の値段も上がる。どんどん暮らしにくくなる。
経済大国と呼ばれたのも遠い昔になりました。

映画『The Crooner』（1932）の挿入歌でして、shantyとは掘っ立て小屋、粗末な家、Shanty Townは都市にあるボロ屋の地域（貧民窟、貧民街、スラム）、またその住民の意味。
アメリカのほとんどの人が貧乏だった時代の歌ですね。
個人的にはインク・スポッツとジョージ・ルイスのバージョンが気に入ってます。
