５０年代からブルース、ジャンプ、ドゥーワップ、ポップソングとさまざまなスタイルを試してきたベテラン歌手も多くおります。
いわゆるソウル・ミュージックというと、私は６６～７０年あたりのゴスペル・フィーリングに満ち溢れたサザン・ソウルのイメージですが、そこへ連なる流れはこれも多種多様ですね。
