「Japan」とか「Tokyo」という言葉が出てくる。「ハバハバ」とは急げという意味。
一節折り込まれる歌はコモ自身のヒット”Till the End of Time”（1945）時の終わりまで。

This topical post-war novelty reached #3 on the singles charts and was an early million-seller for Perry. He also performed it in the film musical “Doll Face,” one of only a handful of big-screen Como appearances. Other Perry Como hits included in this 1946 collection: “Prisoner Of Love” “I’m Always Chasing Rainbows” “They Say It’s Wonderful” “You Won’t Be Satisfied” “Surrender” “All Through The Day” and “Winter Wonderland.”

Dutch Indo-rock impacted Singapore Pop Music in the early 1960’s.
The BLUE DIAMONDS – “Tokyo Geisha” （1964）
The BLUE DIAMONDS, brothers RUUD and RIEM DE WOLFF, performed at the Singapore Badminton Hall in 1960, leaving a long-lasting impression on their Singaporean fans.
This English song, “Tokyo Geisha,” was their thematic follow-up to their 1963 world-wide English hit, “Sukiyaki.” It is a collector’s item now.

This final Vocalion release by the band was written by Hallett’s trumpeter-arranger Frank Ryerson and featured pianist Lester Burness, sitting in for band regular Frankie Carle during this session.

This “Miller sound” big band version of the Frank Sinatra hit and the also-posted Beneke recording of “Hey! Ba-Ba-Re-Bop” both reached #4 on Billboard’s popularity charts in 1946.

極めてロックンロール的サウンド。

Frank united with his old big-band boss James for the most successful vocal treatment of the Johnny Hodges instrumental hit.

ビル・ヘイリー版の『ロック・アラウンド・ザ・クロック』に影響したのは、やはり “Move It On Over” だろうね。

　世界的にヒットしているダンス音楽「タキ・タキ・ルンバ（原題Ｔａｋｉ　Ｔａｋｉ）」に、スペイン語で「尻が長崎のように爆発」という歌詞があり、配信するユニバーサルミュージックの日本法人が不適切だと指摘した後に変更されたことがわかった。同社は「アーティストに特段の意図がなかったとはいえ、日本では誤解を招きかねなかった」と説明している。
　「タキ・タキ・ルンバ」は、フランス出身の米人気ミュージシャン「ＤＪスネイク」が手がけ、セレーナ・ゴメスなど著名スターも参加。９月下旬に配信されると、米ビルボードのラテンチャートで初登場１位を獲得した。性的な内容も含まれる詞がスペイン語と英語で歌われ、「タキタキ」と韻を踏んで「ナガサキ」「カワサキ」と日本の固有名詞が歌詞に入っていた。
　だが、「ナガサキ」のくだりは原爆の被害を軽んじていると受け取れる一節になっていた。日本法人は国内でのプロモーション活動を見合わせ、米本社に「日本では特にセンシティブ（敏感）だ」と歌詞の変更を依頼した。
