南米ブラジルのリオデジャネイロ近郊で大雨による大規模な土砂崩れが発生し、これまでに９４人が死亡しました。依然、多くの人の行方が分かっておらず、消防などが捜索を続けています。
ブラジル南東部リオデジャネイロ近郊のペトロポリスで１５日、大規模な土砂崩れが発生しました。
高原の避暑地として知られるペトロポリスは山の斜面に住宅が建ち並び、地元テレビ局が伝えた映像には斜面が大きく崩れて住宅が土砂に巻き込まれる瞬間や、道路に濁流が流れ込んで車が押し流される様子などが映っています。
リオデジャネイロ州政府によりますと、これまでに９４人の死亡が確認されたほか、依然、多くの人の行方が分かっていないということで、消防などが捜索を続けています。
当時、現場では３時間ほどの間におよそ２６０ミリの集中的な雨が降ったとみられ、地元当局は今後もまとまった雨が降るおそれがあるとして、付近の住民を避難させるなど警戒にあたっています。

ブラジル南東部、リオデジャネイロ近郊のペトロポリスでは今月１５日、集中的な大雨によって大規模な土砂崩れや洪水が発生しました。
その後住宅などへの被害はさらに広がり、リオデジャネイロ州政府は２３日、これまでに２０４人の死亡が確認されたと明らかにしました。
また、５０人余りが今も行方不明になっているということで、消防などの捜索活動が続いています。
リオデジャネイロにある日本総領事館によりますと、日本人が被害に遭ったという情報はないということです。
