インドネシア国家災害対策庁は２日、１２月３１日から１月１日にかけて降り続いた豪雨で首都ジャカルタとその近郊で洪水や土砂崩れが起き、計３０人が死亡したと明らかにした。避難者は約３万５千人に上った。
各地の住宅地では大勢の住民が浸水した自宅内に閉じ込められ、捜索救助庁の隊員らがゴムボートで救出した。
