インド北東部アッサム州では、１１日から降り続けた豪雨によって洪水が発生し、ロイター通信によりますと、これまでに少なくとも１０人が死亡しました。また、浸水被害も出ていて、１００万人以上が避難を余儀なくされ、地元当局は今後、さらに状況が悪化する可能性があるとして、住民に注意を呼びかけています。また、隣国ネパールでも１１日から豪雨による洪水や地滑りが発生し、１５人が死亡、１８人が行方不明になっているということです。

毎年起きる洪水に対してインド政府は治水工事など対策をしてるのだろうか？
例えば巨大な穴を掘って貯水池とし洪水を回避する等は可能だろう。
