主にロックンロールのコンボ、シャドウズ系、ビートルズ系、そのほかの米英のバンド系の四つに分類できます（エレキからビートグループへスイッチした例も散見されます）。
音楽性を追求するようなバンドの寿命は短く、ときどきの最大公約数を求めて常に間口を広く取ってるグループほど長続きしている傾向があります。

オーラとジャングラーズ
のちにいうところの「フラット・ロック」を好んで演奏する「ガレージ・バンド」だった、と説明すればほぼ間違いないでしょう。
メンバーは５人で、リーダーのオーラ・ハカンソン（リード・ヴォーカル）、クラエス・アフ・ゲイジェルタム（リード・ギター）、ヨハネス・オルソン（キーボード）、アイケ・エルドザーテル（ベース・ギター）、レイフ・ヨハンソン（ドラムス）。
オリジナル『愛の指輪』や、『レッツ・ダンス』『カリフォルニア・サン』のカバーで知られています。

ルーン・オファーマンはスウェーデンの指揮者、音楽アレンジャー、ミュージシャン（ピアノ）。多くの映画音楽を手がけています。

結成は１９６１年。リーダーのJerry Williams（ジェリー・ウィリアムス。スウェーデン語発音でイェリー・ウィリアムスという場合もある）はのちにソロシンガーとなってます。アメリカのソウル歌手「スワンプ・ドッグ」Jerry Williamsとは当然、別な人なので要注意です。
